I even asked the server about the €35 deposit and he said it would go towards the first round, not that it is the PRICE of a first round. A reservation is required and that reservation requires the first cocktail to be significantly more expensive that the menu price. The service and drinks were impeccable, it's a shame this really unclear and shady practice is what keeps me from giving a 5 star review.

I don't speak Italian- the owner spoke English and made me feel extremely welcome. fantastic mostly vegetarian dishes close to where I was staying so I will certainly seek out new restaurants when I come back to bologna this is a restaurant where I feel at home.
