Absolutely fantastic fresh Mexican food in Paris. Absolute delight to taste! Truly excellent spot,…read morefor Cinco de Mayo. We made a reservation on a Sunday at 1:30pm and it was busy but not crowded. The décor is contemporary and clean with Frida Kahlo gracing the walls and trinkets of color and books of México. Odd point but must be said: Cleanest, whitest and biggest bathroom in Paris! The staff was super friendly and bi-lingual so parle Français or habla español si deseas.... We ordered the guacamole, the shredded pork (chochinita pibil) tacos and quesadillas. For main meal, the beef steak. All were amazing, delicious!!! Super fresh guacamole! Very light on the salt, so my partner added salt but I felt mine was perfect as is! We ordered two drinks, Viva La Vida, and another green gin drink whose name I do not recall, sorry! The staff, the décor, the food, the drinks... love! To be fair, I think the french palate wouldn't tolerate more spice, but I think the chef could add a plate or two. I cant wait to go back for sure!!!

It's on a small street and a little challenging to find. We ordered guacamole to start and it was excellent. The chips were fresh and thin with the appropriate amount of salt. The guacamole itself was flavorful and authentic. A good start to the meal. We both had tacos-I had the duck tacos and my wife had the pork. They came on blue corn tortillas and were pretty good. They could have done with some pico de gallo but the meat was tender and well spiced. The service was excellent as was the atmosphere. The table next to us had margaritas that looked great. All in all a good alternative in Paris for your Mexican food fix.

My girlfriend and I found ourselves in this Mezcaleria on a speakeasy tour, engaged in conversation with a South African couple who had 25+ years of life experience on us and had just moved to the UK. Their sole purpose for moving was so that they could travel more. We talked about all of our travels and all the places we've been, but I found myself listening more than speaking. When I asked their favorite off-the-beaten-path destination, they would not stop raving about Tunisia. "Tunisia?!?" I said in disbelief. I'd never heard of anyone going to Tunisia. "It was absolutely magical" they responded in a strong South African accent and cadence. These are the exact moments I live for. Between sips of a stiff Mezcal Negroni, I asked every follow up question you could think of. "Whats the culture like? Is it a strong European Influence? How did you end up in Tunisia? What's Tunisian cuisine like? Was it a direct flight?" I entered the night not even knowing Tunisia was a country, and here I am weeks later trying to figure out how I can get the time off to go to Tunisia. This, to me, is what life is all about. So the little red door has a cute red door but the bouncer lets you in through another door (novelty observed haha). The man takes your jacket and umbrella (what a gentleman!) and sat us on the second floor. While the space between the couch and the seats were rather small, we were able to manage. I got the permaculture and resilience. The resilience is a club favorite and my favorite too! The way the sorghum, pineapple sage (syrup), pasquet cognac, and savanna rum all tied together was a blessing. I was going to get a third but I was tipsy by my second drink. My first drink was the permaculture and while I was considered it would be strong, it didn't seem strong to me. I love clarified dairy in alcohol so this was a win in my book. It consists of chestnut, butter, wakaze umeshu, avallen Calvados. The bar let's you stay for an hour but if you sit elsewhere, you can stay as long as you want. 5 stars and I hope to come back someday!
