I made it at last. La Fabrica have been on my to do list for a long time. I paid the restaurant a visit on a Friday, and I had no reservation. They were fully booked in the restaurant, so I could wait in the bar for a table or eat the bar menu. I took the bar menu, because I was on my own.
Got some cava to start the evening, and I ordered oysters, ox heart and chicken liver patė. Normally you will get all servings in one round, buy I asked for the oysters first and then a small break.
The oysters were perfect, and the waiter got me a wonderful white wine to drink.
After the break I got the ox and chicken. Again the waiter got me a great wine. It was a great red wine.
The menu changes every week, so if you like me don't know much about wine, you have to trust the waiter. Every wine was good and complimented the food so good.
The let you try every wine before ordering. I was alone so they let me try som of the wines, they normally only serve by the bottle. Just ask.
You have to pay extra for water, but it's only DKR 25 for all you can drink. You have the choice between still or bubbles.
I enjoyed all the food. It was so good. It was an like a trip to Spain. Good raw materials and good flavours.
Ordered a dessert with pop corn because it sounded interesting. It was no good, and I got a new with out charge.
I definitely recommend this place. You can get good food and wines. You'll get a experience for less than DKR 1000 a person.
The staff is helpful and attractive. The decoration in the restaurant is wonderful.
The only but is the toilets. The are clean, but I expect more for a place like this. read more
