Just walked by on a very cold Sunday afternoon and saw they had mulled wine. Popped in and asked if it'd be alright to just get a glass. Absolutely delicious! I had a small tapas £1, to take the edge off the alcohol, a very good idea. Super nice people with good service. Recommend!

It'll definitely become a regular haunt of mine!! It's on the corner overlooking Upper Street with glass walls and well decorated interior. It didn't take time to walk in for some tapas. For that reason diners came and left frequently while we dined in which was a little bit annoying since we sat right in front of the door. But it's a good sign of popular restaurants ;) We should've booked beforehand but it was lucky to be able to manage to get the last table even on Saturday 7:00p.m. Anyway what I liked the most was their having black rice on their menu which is quite rare!!! Plus they serve it with only one portion 6.75£ which couldn't deprive us of all our appetite and enjoyment of trying many other tapas as well!! I wouldn't say this is one of the best3 Spanish restaurants in London. But still worth it and considering the well decorated interior, nice & delightful atomosphere and the price, I quite liked it!!

We were walking to another restaurant for lunch when the decor of this tapas restaurant caught my eye. I can't believe I almost didn't eat here!!! Agh! I'm so glad we went in and tried it. I have been craving Farola ever since we ate here. Can you please open one up in the US? We were hungry when we arrived and I think our eyes were bigger than our stomachs. But I'm soooo glad we tried as many dishes as we did. They were all amazing!!! See attached pics. The staff was extremely friendly and didn't judge us with all the food we had on our table. Ha ha! Try it and enjoy!

Great find for late night tapas. Favorites were the courgette flower with honey, chicken with plum and yogurt and churro with peanut butter caramel. The staff is cute and friendly, giving recommendations for the best dishes. 2 for 1 cocktails help too.

I have to echo another Yelper's review on this, for some reason I have never been excited to go into this place. It's been open for years and I live in Angel and I've never been. Probably because there are some very dubious tapas places on Upper Street. Well, that was my mistake because La Farola is a revelation. We ordered a bunch of tapas, the patatas braves, the lamb cutlets, the empanadas, croquettes and the special prawns dish. I was sad we didn't order the tortilla after seeing it wizz by to other diners, it looks incredible. Highlights were easily the croquettes, perfectly crunchy on the outside and melty and cheesy inside. The prawn special dish was fantastically cooked with just the perfect hit of spiciness and tiny crackles of bacon. You should definitely get the empanadas, a little indulgent with the feta cheese and pastry but served with an almost-healthy and very refreshing guacamole base. La Farola isn't the cheapest, but it's definitely worth it. I'd almost consider it high-class tapas, not the sort you'd get in a tacky bar in Barcelona, for sure!

The tapas are genuinely awesome here. Environment is great, too. It can be told that the dishes are delicately designed. I grabbed a mock tail. Pretty nice.

Great little tapas place. Food was fresh and very flavorful. Breezy, fun decor and atmosphere. Prices were affordable for London.

The staff works beautifully together even with the limited space in their cooking area. It was like watching surgeons work together.....bravo to them all for providing such wonderful service and making each dish a standout. Open air kitchen where the grilling is done counter side. Fresh fish galore (it's on ice within eye view) the fish is selected and grilled based on order. This tapas hot spot should be top on your list of places to eat. Sharing plates is all the lure of these dishes. I have never been a fan of peppers but these grilled padron peppers with oil and sea salt were superb. The ribeye cap was bought to use with a large serving spoon it was beyond tender (yes the spoon was adequate to cut this succulent meat). It took barely any effort to chew since it was so perfectly prepared. The grilled octopus with paprika was the phenomenal. We should have ordered a second serving, it was a real palette teaser. The prawns were a lot of work and extremely hot, they were bought straight out the skillet to table so pack on the patience removing the shell. The mini meatballs along with the grilled squid with ink sauce is a must try when selecting items from the menu. Don't leave without ordering the flan, it was probably the best I ever tasted. Thank you for a memorable birthday dinner, Barrafina gets a 10 out of 10 from me.

This was probably my favorite restaurant while visiting. My absolute favorite tapa was the tuna tartar tostadas. We also got the lamb, albondigas, and sliders. We didn't leave a crumb! My sister and her husband also ordered the hummus tostadas, roasted cauliflower, and grilled carrots. She's not the biggest tapas fan so I was so glad she enjoyed the food as well. We got a pitcher of red sangria to add to the experience and ended dinner with the Pan de Elote, which was quite the crowd pleaser. The restaurant is definitely in the "it" part of the city, lots of foot traffic and so many things going on around the place. The setup is real cool too. We sat at the bar, which is right in front of the kitchen so you get to watch as the cooks prepare the dishes. The service was real fast too. It is a bit on the pricey side, but if you don't mind splurging a bit, it's definitely worth trying!

(It was kind of hard to find with maps being misleading). Was it awful and no one had the heart to review? Our fears were put to rest when we found the place, and got our meal! Everything was delicious, and the bright blue burger bun was festive. The crack and cheese was as addictive as it sounded! Be mindful when you order - you won't likely need as much as the menu recommends (if you do, you can always order more) and they don't seem to be ready for taking items home (though they found a creative and effective solution for us)!

We stumbled across this place in our research and I particularly loved the idea of a unique take on traditional British dishes, so we decided to give it a shot. The place itself has a great decor and made a for a nice, romantic date night - nicely lit by candles adding a nice touch. We were waited on primarily by William, who turned out to be one of the owners, and he was very sweet and an absolute delight. The food - literally everything we had was incredible. The wild boar, game & apple croquettes were so perfectly cooked with the slightest bit of sweetness and came set atop a sauce that was absolutely delicious. My boyfriend loves scotch eggs, and was a little hesitant about a quail scotch egg as well as trying black pudding for the first time - and he wanted to order about 3 more. Following those, we also got the lamb, the crack & cheese, the truffle & parmesan fries, and the wagyu/bone marrow burger, all to share. The lamb was cooked perfectly and had so much flavor. The burger was the one of the juiciest and flavorful burgers that I'd ever have - definitely don't be put off by the blue bun! It just added to how unique it was. The crack and cheese was a bit on the soupier side, but it was delicious, and perfect for dipping french fries into after you've eaten the macaroni. I'm not sure why this place doesn't have more reviews - it's a very cool place with delicious food. I highly recommend this place - I would suggest going out of your way to check this place out. The owner also has a fantastic cocktail lounge that he recommended - Looking Glass Lounge - as it was right by our AirBnB, and that was a great experience as well (but that's for a different review).
