This is one of two La Haciendas in Greenwood, and it's my favorite. The service is always top notch. The servers are always so pleasant and helpful. The food always comes out very quickly. The menu options are about the same as any other Mexican restaurant, but at least you know what to expect when you come in. They have covered outdoor seating which is always nice on a sunny day. La Ha...... with a surprisingly large Mexican community, this place has to stand out as the Mexican restaurant of choice for the Greenwood area. Fast and friendly, this place is constantly serving it up. Do they have all of your Mexican favorites? No. Do they have all of your Mexican "American" favorites? You betcha. Serving both lunch and dinner combinations, unless you absolutely abhor Mexican food, you're going to find something you like. I was a fan of the steak and cheese burrito. And the sweet tea here? Are you kidding me? Who knew they had some of the best sweet tea in the area? Again, I don't know what brought you to Greenwood, but if you want Mexican, check it out. read more

We were working in Greenwood for the day and when the lunch time craving overcame us, Mexican food was in order. After a quick Yelp! search, La Hacienda was our final destination. We were greeted and promptly seated. The restaurant is rather small (at least the portion I saw). We both ordered from the lunch menu. My friend ordered the Speedy Gonzales and I ordered the lunch Chimichanga. My chimichanga was filled with fantastically seasoned chicken and topped with cheese, sour cream, guacamole, lettuce, a giant tomato slice, and lettuce. Accompanied with the chimichanga was refried beans covered in cheese. I was rather surprised this restaurant has a smoking section. Yeah, I said it, there is a smoking section!!! I didn't know smoking sections were still a think inside restaurants! To get to the bathrooms, you have to pass through the middle of the smoking section. Fortunately, we were at lunch early enough where there was no one smoking but it could have been a very different story. On that note, the men's bathroom was a death trap. I could have easily kicked the door down as there wasn't much to it. I'd be worried someone who has consumed too much alcohol could bust right through the door while I was "deep in thought." Besides the door, the electric hand dryer is literally 5 inches above the hand washing sink. Once false move and..... I don't spend much time in Greenwood but if I find myself hungry and craving Mexican food, this place will definitely be on my radar. read more

Excellent service. Chips and salsa served immediately and your food arrives shortly after that. Server was very pleasant and kept our drink glasses full. I had the lunch special of a shrimp quesadilla and they didn't skimp on the shrimp. Very good as well the mixed veggies that came with it. Very reasonably priced. read more

Pretty run of the mill Mexican food. I had the margarita - medium size - hardly any alcohol and a lot of limeade, I would not recommend the drink. The burrito with pork chunks was very good and I would recommend it to anyone. Overall, the atmosphere was nice but nothing special. The inside to the left is smoking. Only thing I want to add is something that is not on this site AT ALL...this location is CLOSED ON SUNDAYS!!! I've had good Mexican food every time I visit, nothing to rave about, but service is great and food is hot... They do need to update their hours because it says they are open on Sunday's! There are two La Ha's in Greenwood. I prefer the old one on Montague. The menu is typical of most Mexican restaurants - lots of combination plates, tons of options. The food is standard fare, but what makes this place good is that they'll make just about any variation you want, if what you want isn't actually on the menu. The guacamole is just ok, but the cheese dip is addictive. Their fajitas are pretty darn good, with all the fixings. The tacos have pretty good flavor. They offer generous portions and are very attentive. Your glass doesn't get empty. read more

I stopped in for lunch and had the #5 on their lunch menu, which was a ground beef taco (generous with the beef), a chile relleno (also stuffed with ground meat), and rice and beans, plus a big basket of fresh chips and salsa that had a kick to it and was surprisingly decent for an Americanized Mexican restaurant. All of this would normally have been $5, plus tax, but since the #5 was on their Specials board for the day, I paid $4.36 including tax. I couldn't believe how cheap it was! I know meals cost less down here in the South, but $4.36 for lunch? Wow! The meal was decent. The chile relleno was a bell pepper, not the traditional poblano, so it was smaller and rounder in shape. It was covered in a huge amount of melted white cheese, which some may like and some may find to be too much. I simply dipped my chips in the cheese. The ground meat in both the taco and relleno was generous in portion and tasty, although slightly on the salty side. The beans were flavorful and the rice was decent. Service was cool, but efficient. I never got a smile, but I never had to wait for anything either. I'm curious to try the other Mexican places in town, but for $4.36 for lunch, I would definitely return here. read more

They are not very busy and the service is fast. The second you sit down there are chips and salsa on the table. Went there for lunch three days in a row and the food was consistently good. The service was consistently fast and I was out in 30 minutes every time which is great for the lunch break. The lack of a star is because it has a smoking area which I don't like. The smokey smell does not adhere to the signs and makes its way into the non smoking section. They have an outside eating area which was nice on the warm days to get out into the fresh air. read more

Good la ha. I hear the other one in the area is a no-go. Sitting outside, even on a busy street, makes for a pleasurable experience.

Friendly staff and fast service are definitely noticeable here. We had the tacos and fajitas and the flavors and quality seemed good as well. The ambiance and lighting is a bit off and makes the color of foods look funny. Other than that this is a good option for locals. No horchata though. read more

Good food and staff is always helpful and friendly. That even suggested a local place to get my Christmas tamales.!

The only restaurant I have been to in a long time that still has a smoking section with ashtrays waiting on the tables. The major drawback for non-smokers is that you have to walk through this section to get to the restrooms. Even if no one is smoking, there is still a smoke odor. Be warned. read more
