I still walked in, and even though the lady was the only one working and in the middle of fitting a group of little girls for pointe shoes, she stopped to help us find what we needed. I really appreciated her taking the time to help my daughter and me. Now that's great customer service.

The staff was extremely helpful sizing me up and getting the proper footwear for my ballet shoes. The prices were just as I expected. I paid $100 total for 2 ballet shoes, tights and skirt not bad at all. The quality is good and I know I'm going to be comfortable and safe. Now I am officially prepared for my ballet class. It almost doesn't matter how good or bad Dancin Soul is, because no other store in our neighborhood…read morecarries what they carry, and if you need it you either mail order it or you go to Dancin Soul and buy it there. Buying in person is better, and it's a feel-good store with a fairyland aura. It's owned by Della Stewart. She's almost always there, but she has at least one employee on premises too. At busy times I've seen 2 employees plus Della. If you dance, or if your children or grandchildren dance or take dance lessons, they will have what you need. Della has always been nice to me, but probably sees me as a clueless old man who is buying something for his granddaughter. Which is true, of course. It used to be in a highly-visible location for which it was impossible to find parking. They are now in a funky building a couple of blocks away, with more than enough parking. Enter at the back from Madison Street, just past Grand. (Madison Street is where KFC/Taco Bell is, a block away). They don't refund for returned items; they give store credit. But their computer is very good at keeping track of it; it's indexed by phone number.

I am extremely unhappy with the customer service here. If i could, i would rate this place…read morenegative. I went in 2 months ago, in March and placed an order on dance shoes, paid everything including shipping. I was told i would get my dance shoes in two weeks. Two weeks passed and no shoes. So i called them and they said they couldn't find the order and will call me back. Two days later, i still haven't receive any call back. So i gave them another call, the manager then told me that she will placed another order and this time it will arrive in two weeks. Another two weeks came and went, still no shoes, no calls from them. I then called them, again, and was told that the shoes were in back order from the manufacture and they will make sure it will arrived by April 23. April 23 came and went, i called them, the fourth time, the sale person informed me that she doesn't know when i will have my shoes. So i told them i want to return my shoes, she said fine. I brought them in yesterday, May 7th, and they refused to return my shipping fee. I found that is very ridiculous that i have to pay shipping fee for something that i never received. The sale person flatly refused to do it. I am very upset with this place and will never shop there again. They never call me back when they promised to, failed to inform me about my shoes being back-order, then fail to know when i ever receive my shoe then REFUSED to give me my shipping money back. I have been extremely patient with them, and i think i had enough of them. I will report this to the BBB for bad business conduct!

Took my girl to this boutique and she absolutely loved it. They had a great selection of styles…read morethat really caught her eye, and the quality of the pieces looked solid.
