Whether you are a local or tourist, should you ever be crazy enough to want to eat at the shittiest…read morerestaurant in all of Italy, come to this one. Yes, it looks inviting and well-decorated, but this place is awful is so many ways. We lived in the neighborhood for years and avoided this place at all cost after "giving it another chance" three times.
Let's start with the service. Some of the staff speak English -- great. Once the staff sits you down at the table, they walk around and ignore you for 15 minutes (because talking to each other is more important than providing good customer service). You have to get their attention to even order. I kid you not this has happened to us three times before we decided never to come here again.
The food? Disappointing! The only satisfactory dish I've had here was their pizza with cime di rapa (turnip greens), and it was actually quite good. Unfortunately, cime di rapa is seasonal, so they sadly only have one good dish for 4 months out of the year. We asked one waiter if a certain pasta dish came with red sauce or if it was just tomatoes sprinkled on top. He said red sauce. Then, he brings us this pasta plate with tomatoes on top. When we said that he was mistaken, he actually said (folks, I am not making THIS UP), "Well couldn't you eat it anyways?" Hah! The nerve. Anyways, the pasta was terrible. No flavor, no salt, and no hint of pride for their restaurant. What makes the experience more upsetting is that this place is pricey for its offerings and quality of food.
