We were served a bread basket that was a reuse from a different table.
How we could tell? One of the pieces of bread still showed a whole row of teeth marks, only the crust was left.
Second clue, the owner herself came not to apologize (that would have been a confession) but to shower us with possible reasons why it happened...we are bakers ourselves, none made any sense to us.
She knew she got caught and acted accordingly. Food wasn't impressive at all either, steak (was supposed to be as tender as butter) felt like rubber, the steak knife couldn't handle it without a fight.
Poor quality meat.
