Date of visit: 9/6/2024…read more Not sure what to eat for our last meal in Frankfurt. We were pretty much done with German food so we went with Italian instead. Our first choice was located outside of Frankfurt, leaving only Quattro on the table. Our orders: - scallops with truffle: scallops were perfectly prepared and I thought the truffle shavings were pretty generous. The sauce however, was WAY TOO SALTY! Like...reallyyyy...you don't taste your cooking before serving it to paid customers? - Spaghetti Quattro with scampi, mussels, clams and baby calamari in white wine butter sauce: pasta was al dente. it was delicious with plenty of shell fish, BUT again, it was on the salty side. If the amount of salt could be toned down a bit, this would be a winning dish! - Spaghetti ala vongole: almost the same with the spaghetti Quattro above but with only clams. Sauce was not as salty which is awesome! - Lemon sorbet: served partially melted already. I hate melted ice cream and sorbet! BUT it was surprisingly good! I would never voluntarily order a lemon sorbet but we were not in the mood for a tiramisu or a soufflé that night. It was light & refreshing & exactly how we wanted to close our meal. House bread was served cold and hard. I hate cold hard bread. I had to ask them to warm it up. They did. On a side note: when we came, indoor dining area was empty. The waiter asked us to sit at the full patio without letting us know it's a smoking dining area. It was not fun being a second hand smoker for the next 90 minutes, so unless you are ok with cigarette smokes and/or a smoker yourself, do your lungs a favor a get indoor seats instead!

Chose the beef option main course Work dinner for 4, multi course, multi bottle meal...we bonded for hours and shared something exceptional. About 150 euro each including the wine. Worth it!!!

They only make seafood dishes when they have the fresh catches, so the salmon is also super tasty. It's a simple menu and simple food, just done really, really well. The pasta has an amazing array of sauces and the pizzas are topped with fresh mozzarella, veggies and salame. You can tell that most of the people are regulars and know the owners by name. They are really that friendly! They even have our number on whatsapp and drop us a friendly line whenever they are kicking fresh lachs lasagna. A waitress from the other side of the restaurant noticed and immediately came over and fixed it. I ordered the gnocchi, it is not your traditional potato style. I asked the manager and he gave me a whole lesson on the different regions and styles of gnocchi. The food was absolutely incredible, everytime I tried to put the fork down I kept going back for one more bite.
