If great food isn't enough to draw you in, the panoramic views certainly will. As you enter the restaurant, you're greeted with sweeping vistas of the city, setting the stage for an extraordinary dining experience. The atmosphere is hip, intimate, yet upscale and trendy. You're immediately made to feel at home while simultaneously being transported away from the ordinary to something truly unique. The location sets the tone: you're on top of the world, and the meal you're about to enjoy is a symphony of flavors that matches the setting.
This high-rise dining experience began with steak tartare paired with a ponzu sauce. The steak was sliced with precision, and the display was artful and appetizing. Paired with toast, this appetizer set the tone for what was ahead--pure excitement. Alongside the tartare, bread was served with a variety of sauces, including a chimichurri. A drizzle of this sauce atop the tartare pushed the dish over the edge for me. With so much variety already on the table, the night's meal was just beginning.
Next came the spicy aguachile, featuring raw shrimp bathed in one of two types of cold, spicy broths. You can choose between the green broth, made with fresh jalapeños, or the black broth, flavored with roasted habaneros. I chose the latter and was not disappointed. The shrimp were fresh, plump, and beautifully arranged in a pyramid at the center of the broth. Paired with toasted tortillas, the dish was a perfect combination of crunch and the soft, spicy shrimp--a true dance of textures and flavors.
The Aztec soup followed--a traditional Mexican dish my friend from Puebla insisted I try. It was a comforting yet elevated nod to tradition, with deep, layered flavors and satisfying textures in every spoonful. Thicker than soups I was familiar with, it surprised me how the crispy tortilla strips retained their crunch until the very last bite. My dinner companions, all locals from Puebla, ordered tacos. Each plate arrived with Picasso-like artistry. Even the soup was decorated with vibrant watermelon radishes, arranged along the bowl's edge like petals on a flower. Every dish was thoughtful, beautiful, and appetizing. We admired each presentation before savoring every last bite. Portions were perfect--no one left hungry, and no food was left behind.
We saved room for dessert--a rare but welcome feat. The desserts were showstoppers, marking the end of an unbelievable dining experience. We ordered the Banoffee, a decadent creation with layers of buttery crust, banana, and a creamy topping. The first bite stopped me in my tracks--wow. We also tried the Pastel de Nutella. While it looked like an ordinary chocolate cake at first glance, it delivered a triple-wow experience. Pure indulgence, it's a must-try for any dessert lover. Both desserts provided the perfect sweet finale to an exceptional meal.
The service was superb--attentive without being intrusive--and the staff's deep knowledge of the menu elevated the entire experience. Paired with the breathtaking views, this fine dining destination achieves a rare trifecta of ambiance, service, and cuisine. Whether you're a local or a visitor to Puebla, Attica 303 deserves a spot on your shortlist for a truly memorable dining.
