I new at once arriving I was in a wonderful, clean and professional salon. After consulting with Brigette I decided to have her cut my hair as well. I've traveled from Washington, D.C. and wanted a haircut while on travel to EU. Found this on Yelp and they were pleasant and nice and had an opening for me to come in. Interior is clean, inviting. Cute dog named Bear moseying around. Yuyu did a great job cutting my long, thick, and slightly wavy Asian hair. If you're in town and need to get spruced up I would def recommend coming here. I got a beautiful up do for a gala while visiting from Canada. Everyone spoke English, which made the transaction much easier for me. It was clear everyone was fashion forward, offering edgy styles and classic cuts / hair styles for men and women were a breeze. There were equal parts male / female guests and stylists. Coming to the Netherlands Ive had my fair share of bad experiences with hair stylists considering there are a thousand of them in each city. But I'm happy to say I found my salon! La Maison uses all La Biosthetique products which i love and their hair stylist Mark is a genius. I have really thick hair and they were drying out due to an Ombre i got at Kinki. And i was desperate for someone to save me from my incredibly hideous hair. Haha Mark did just that... He used 'milk shake' products on me which looked and smelt delicious. Also my hair never tangled while he was brushing them which is not the case elsewhere, they always pull and tug on my hair at all regular salons. Mark was also talking me through everything and hearing all my concerns and explaining why I wasn't getting the results I wanted. They kept offering coffee or wine. And if you do go there try out their candies you wont regret it! It's an extremely friendly environment, the staff is very efficient and helpful. I really enjoyed my visit and yes 60 euros for a haircut is steep but then again I'd rather pay 60 for a good one then pay 40 for a horrible one. I think i'm extremely pleased with my visit and will be going back for a Keratin treatment in 2 weeks! read more

The services are very reasonable in cost for what you receive and the stylists are absolutely meticulous in their work. New to town and very picky about who touches my hair, I was a bit nervous to try out a salon based on reviews alone. Boy am I happy I did! This salon runs like a well oiled machine. I've never witnessed the level of teamwork in any other establishment that I witnessed at La Maison. Friendly, welcoming staff offer top notch customer service. Beautiful salon! Bridgette did a wonderful job. My hair is soft and healthy and my platinum blonde color is perfect!

Francesca even shooed me out with a wave of her hand and told me to leave.. I couldn't believe her actions. She turned me red instead of blonde, told me she liked to cut not color, then they turned me back to brunette and I walked out darker than I was before. I went in to get my normal blonde highlights. I still gave her the benefit of the doubt and even let her cut my hair after. I refused to pay for my cut however as I obviously didn't pay 240 euro to walk out a brunette! Horrible attitudes and i am appalled that no one spoke up in my defense. She simply was unapologetic and unaccepting of what a horrible color she did. It has left such a horrible taste in my mouth. I hope she has grown up since then and I hope the rest of the staff have started treated their clients better. I guess they wanted me to scream and shout about the color but instead I was polite and understanding that sometimes people mess up. To say I was uncooperative shows their feeble ability to not be honest! I have made a review on Facebook just after leaving the salon. They did not reply. A few months later another woman replied and stated she had the same experience. Only after she commented did La Maison reply and guess what? They told me I have never been in the salon and that i made the whole story up.... how amazing! Oh my, good luck to this dis honest company...... read more

Not recommended for color highlights. After 5 hours there the result wasn't even close to what i wanted, instead of light blonde it was orange. In the end they fix it but still not satisfied. read more
