She was attentive, listened to what I wanted, and was incredibly patient (which is so important for getting curls to cooperate!) She also started with a dry cut, which is a must for curls. When I said I wanted it shorter she made sure not to cut off too much too quickly. So incredibly happy with the result! They do take card but there's a 3% fee. There's an ATM across the street. I found Andy through Yelp and sent him a message to make an appointment. He replied back right away and he was able to squeeze me in for a Friday evening. My friend and I arrived around 6:15pm and I could tell I was his last appointment of the day. Andy was sweet and he give an awesome hair wash and massage! Since I was cutting off a lot of hair Andy made sure I was ok with cutting off so much, he showed me several time. He was super fun and funny and we shared stories from where we are from and about Amsterdam. Andy gave me a great haircut, couldn't have asked for a better experience. I wish he was in my hometown, I'd go to him again!

They took my late appointment, which was very nice and accommodating (6:30 pm). When I showed up I had to ring the bell because the door was locked. I was not taken back for an additional 15-20 minutes (she was running late from prior appointment). Thank goodness I only booked a half leg wax. Was a bit grossed out that she used a metal spreader (looks like a cake spreader) for my legs and kept reusing in the wax. Unsure why as there were wood sticks next to the wax. Gross but I'm hoping it was my fresh wax and not used again. Certainly wouldn't have tolerated that for a bikini or other wax. The ladies were nice. The hygiene is just not up to my standards.

So I asked a fashion PR friend , aslo from NYC, where to go and she recommended Shampoo Planet. Made an appointment with Patrick and crossed my fingers. All the stylists here are senior stylists so theoretically the experience level is the same for the 49.50E that you pay. Patrick was a doll. We had great conversation - which for me is important - as I have a LOT of hair and the process can be a very long one. After a consultation of what I would like, what he thought would work and discussing a game plan, he washed my hair, taking the time to apply several different conditioners to my hair as it was indeed very dry. Nice little scalp massage to boot. He then proceeded to cut my hair wet. Dry it. And cut it some more so as not to take off too much length (a major concern of mine) but add the right shape etc. He was particularly cautious with my fringe, which I greatly appreciated, making sure not to go too short. I held back one star because I wasn't too fond of how he blew out my hair but that is probably more me not providing instruction and him not knowing my style. Received tons of compliments after the cut. The sun EVEN came out for the rest of the day! Plus Patrick gave me some excellent restaurant recommendations. I will definitely go back.

I new at once arriving I was in a wonderful, clean and professional salon. After consulting with Brigette I decided to have her cut my hair as well. I was so impressed that I also had eyebrow tint and nails by Markella. It's pricey but worth the price. Highly recommend! A+ Thank you Brigette and Markella!

Interior is clean, inviting. Cute dog named Bear moseying around. Yuyu did a great job cutting my long, thick, and slightly wavy Asian hair.
