Great coworking space. Fast wifi, friendly people, easy to get to from Linea B subte, and plenty of food nearby. You can only rent space by the month, but they let me pay for just the two weeks I was working in Buenos Aires. read more

The Location: In Palermo Soho, near the corner of the intersection between Soria and Thames…read more The Staff: Good staff. The Drinks: - Iced Cold Brew: I ordered mine without ice. Had two of them in a two-hour period, just about enough caffeine to get me through a solid workday. The Food: - Tres leches cake on a mini jar: It was okay, nothing out of the ordinary. The Venue: - They have free wi-fi available. Seats in a first floor and a second floor. The second floor offers more privacy with lots of space. A great venue to come read, study/work, or hang out with friends and drink a good coffee. Note about Wi-Fi in Buenos Aires: The Wi-Fi in Buenos Aires is not as fast (and not as reliable) as the Wi-Fi found in typical coffee shops in the United States and in Europe. Thus, I do not make bad reviews based on slow wi-fi which is very common here. Upshot: A solid coffee shop to go to in Palermo soho. For the privacy the second floor offers, this could easily be a regular spot for me to do some work in.

First time we came it was in a Sunday and we had their brunch special which was a roast beef sandwich, french toast and a small salad. Amazing. Starbucks

See my Update below…read more What I started the review with was correct, But then new information became available. * * * Starbucks are NOT the same the world over. In some countries, the Starbucks closely follow the U.S. model. In other countries, they make adjustments for strong local tastes. * * * Argentina is a country where they make adjustments for strong local tastes. In Argentina, everything is about the dulce de leche. Their dulce de leche makes the caramel syrup Starbucks serves in its American shops look pathetic. Starbucks global management is smart enough to know when they are on to a good thing. So here, they take Argentine dulce de leche and totally totally run with it. It is all over the coffee drinks. It is all over the pastries. I like Starbucks in the United States. (I am unusual among Yelpers in really really really liking Starbucks.) Dulce de leche just makes everything good. The menu adjusts for the Argentine love affair with medialunas. There are more kinds of croissant like things in an Argentine Starbucks than their are in the U.S. * * * However, there is an ever bigger headline story about why Starbucks is a good thing in Argentina. All too often Argentine coffee ****s. There are many exceptions. There are many artisanal coffee houses that serve wonderful coffee. I can drink the Iced Havanna in Havanna alfajore stores all day and all night and be happy. However, the odds are higher than three out of four that if you go to a bakery or a restaurant and you order an espresso, you will be very unhappy with the result. I took to getting all of my coffee as "Cafe Doble con Leche" so the milk would cover up the coffee. Now - I don't particularly like Starbuck's espresso either. However, even with all of the faults of Starbuck's espresso ... It significantly outperforms most espressos you can get here. If you drink enough coffee here ... and I drink a lot of coffee ... Starbucks has its place. * * * KEY UPDATE: I actually finally went head to head on the two competing Caramel Coffee drinks: Havanna's Iced Havanna and Starbuck's Espresso with Dulce de Leche. It was an entirely one sided contest. Havanna won 1000-0. The Dulce de Leche drink at Starbucks is not even remotely as good as what they serve at Havanna. Starbucks is doing its best. But it can't compete with Dulce de Leche pros.

Here every location has its own delights, and this San Telmo location is a shining example. An enormous variety of seating and table options, both upstairs and in the abundant basement, make this place memorable, but not nearly so much as the delightful decor, which includes a wall of wooden shoes, a display of mixed pictures and empty picture frames, and lights and mirrors of various shapes and sizes. From a practical standpoint, this is my new go-to working location. Wifi is fast enough for video calls, and there's always room bear power outlets (especially downstairs). Four stars for being an amazing Starbucks location. Unquestionably one of my favorites.
