Great view, very good lobster shame about service. We were charged more for the Prix Fixe menu than the posted price...

This one stood out as the best of them all. After reading all the positive reviews, we chose Dans les bras de Morphee. If you want a fabulous experience of the quiet countryside, then this is the place. We chose the "honeymoon room" and it was very clean and comfortable. And we totally agree with another reviewer that the breakfast is "out of this world". The place is owned and operated by two very sweet couple Marc and Louise. Marc has told us that he has had training as a chef. That explains why the breakfast was so good. We wish he also served dinner. He has his own bee-hives which he uses to make his special lavender honey and which they gave us a jar of. We didn't get to see most of his other farm animals because they had been taken somewhere else for the winter, but we got to see the quails that were still there. While we were on the island, we were looking for places to eat for dinner and their restaurant recommendations were excellent. We're definitely coming back here for one of our anniversaries.

Lovely little bed and breakfast…read more The room was large and well furnished, and the location was hard to beat given the proximity to all the sights. The breakfasts were great; everything from the bagels, to the omelettes, to the jams, were made in house. It was also a great community space to meet other guests. The service was very good; they allowed us to check in early and helped us multiple times with things we need. It appears to be run by a nice older couple, who also provided great advice on getting around the city. Only downsides were that the bathroom was a bit small, the shower was missing soap and you couldn't take a shower after 10pm. Despite those small deficits, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again!

The room's interior reflected the building itself: ancient with high ceilings, bay windows and a somewhat dusty historical charm, contrasted by a modern bathroom, TV, and good mattresses. Beware though that the rent has to be paid in cash. Since I usually do not carry several hundred dollars in cash on my person, this came as a bit of an unaccommodating surprise.

It looks like a castle in the sky. It is an older hotel but is beautifully preserved. So much history there. The rooms can be a little small- specifically the bathrooms unless you upgrade. We booked a room on the Gold Floor and had a great room, very small bathroom. The cleaning service was inconsistent. We got mouthwash after 3 days but not to start. No slippers like typical Fairmonts. The Gold Floor lounge is nice. Definitely not our favorite gold level lounge but still nice. Limited healthy protein options at breakfast. Vincent was our absolute favorite. We made an attempt to sit in his section every morning. His bright spirit was the perfect way to start the day. The bar downstairs is beautiful. It has limited seating and lots of non-guests want to experience it. The cocktails are so good and service is great. We are headed back in the winter and are looking forward to seeing it during the holidays.

I hope all my relatives there will understand. He made our stay pleasant and fun from the moment we pulled up. He helped us park, helped us get acclimated to the hotel and the area, and seeing our stress level after our long drive, told us where to get a bottle of wine and showed us the patio. Aside from being completely charming, hilarious, and a total gentleman, he also made great recommendations for area restaurants and attractions, and taught us a bit of French and a whole lot of history. Mr. Dulac was completely unobtrusive during our stay, but made himself available whenever we needed him. Our room at the Auberge Aux deux Lions was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. We also made use of the common kitchen area on the second floor which included a coffee maker, a small fridge, and an ironing board. We stored leftovers and bottles of wine in the fridge and used the wine glasses provided. Though the Inn was booked to capacity during our stay, we never saw or heard another guest. The Inn's location in Upper Quebec City is ideal! It is a close walk to Old Town and to fun shops and restaurants on Cartier Avenue and the surrounding streets. We spent a great deal of time walking around the City and we were happy we had a comfortable place to return to each night. We will definitely be returning to Quebec City soon and will give Jean-François a call when we do!

We were there from Wednesday through Saturday. The lobby is very lovely, especially if you are able to get a seat and table by the fire. We played a lot of Snakes and Ladders with the kids. Grateful they had a complimentary board game we could use - MANY MANY Times. They had complimentary hot beverages in the lobby. I loved the morning tea and evening tea for that matter. They do not have a hotel lobby store for buying snacks, drinks or other conveniences, with that said, there are several drug stores within walking distance. One of the reasons we chose this hotel was garage parking. Very convenient!!! We didn't move the car once it was parked, because we had a rental mini van - it wasn't convenient to move around constantly. Lyft is super cheap and convenient if needed in the area. The luggage service was super pleasant and offered to help us at anytime during our visit because he was local. We felt very welcomed. The room was nice. Walk in shower. Comfy bed. The room was a little on the cooler side, (20C) but luckily that's was we prefer when sleeping. When the heat kicked on - it was very loud and startled us when it came on. We had a view of the church, which was lovely. The only downside - there was a lot of homelessness on the church steps - their stuff strewn about. The town does seem to try to address and keep things clean daily. While we have been to places were there is homeless, what we didn't expect was how LOUD they are at night! Wow...every single night, was filled with screaming, shouting, loud singing and someone pretending to be a rooster crowing. My family stayed in a room not facing the church and said they didn't hear the nonsense. The hotel staff - nice The hotel was clean Location - super convenient. We walked everywhere from here. I would definitely consider staying here again for future visits.

The room we stayed in - La Brunante - was for my money distinctly better than the other options: a spare, Japanese-style room with a vast and snowy king-size bed with a spectacular view of the wintry Saint Lawrence river. The private bathroom has a deep soaking tub that's almost as rewarding. The proprietor, Sylvain, is helpful without hovering, and his breakfast (served from 8-9:30 sharp) is worth waking up for: even in winter, we got four courses of fresh fruit, juices, crisp bacon, an effervescently light quiche. There's a stretch of beach just across the road to ramble on at low tide, and two downstairs fireplaces for warming up afterward. Definitely worth a stay if you're in town.
