Food I never got utensils to eat.

The basic plate took a long time to arrive and I was never given any utensils to eat it with. I asked for them and the server went off to grab them. Then she returned to the dining area, delivered some drinks to the adjacent table and left again. Then after a few more minutes she returned, took the order from the table beside me (which had silverware) and left again! So I tossed a twenty on the table and left. I know I shouldn't have left payment, but I have standards.

Short version; if you have $10 and think Taco Bell is Mexican food BUT serves a decent $6.99 margarita in a to go cup .... this is the place for you. Long version: This restaurant has been around for a long time (as advertised and according to waitstaff) and has been severely impacted by the pandemic. Labor (a dishwasher for example) is reducing the ambiance of a brick and mortar restaurant to a food truck experience. This place was cheap. Plastic utensils, plastic cup margaritas, paper plates Styrofoam bowls.

Secret little restaurant with delicious foods.

What a secret little gem in a town full of non-authentic food! My husband and I stopped in for a quick bite on our 14-hour drive from AZ to TX because it was literally the only thing around that was not Subway (we already had way too much of this). The service was fairly quick and my husband got a fajita, the guy gave him some chips (maybe homemade, really good and salsa). We ran over to the gas station next door and when I came back to the car we had to go back to pick up the second fajita that my husband ordered when I was at the gas station! haha The second one was a bit spicier than the first one, but he powered through and we will definitely stop here on our next trip through!

    The "extra" green sauce!

This one is a solid 3.8, with potential for more…read more I let Liz pick lunch in Ozona, and on a Sunday afternoon, she picked a very unassuming Destiny's Grill. Though small and quiet, this little grill puts out really good food. My daughter kept it simple with a dry cheeseburger. It comes with a side of fries that are cooked fresh, but maybe needed some time to breathe or dash a little bit of salt. The burger was cooked really well though. Noah enjoyed his carne asada tacos. Liz ordered the Potosino nachos, which were like a loaded nachos. Loaded means it came with beans, grill d tomato and jalapeno, thin slices of skirt steak, and cheese. It looked good, and I grabbed a few at the begining. I really enjoyed my Potosino plate. It was the same thing slices of skirt steak, grilled onion, jalapeno, and tomato that was on the nachos, but my plate came with Spanish and refried beans. (Same as Noah's kid taco plate). So, why the 3? It's a small place, and the dining area can be overwhelmed by a rush. Though the folks that knew were just getting food to go. There's about 7 tables/booths for 4 each, and it got crowded right after we sat down and ordered. Hey, if I can't get my coffee refilled without asking, well... Overall, I did enjoy the food. The place was clean and comfortable. It was the lack of speedy service was on no way a deal killer, but when you're on the EP to SA road trip time management can matter. Check it out if you're stopping in Ozona.

Sadly we arrived too late due to a flat tire. We walked in and were immediately greeted and told to sit wherever we liked. As we were sitting down we instantly had chips & salsa being served to our table. We were very skeptical about the quality of the food so we decided to order their Chicken Quesadilla with avocado and light cheese to share. The service was quick and accurate with our order. Due to us being skeptical we planned to just have a proper lunch elsewhere, but that all changed the moment we both took our first bite. Immediately we looked at each other and knew we had to order a second plate of this Chicken Quesadilla. We immediately called over the lady and asked for a second plate. The place was very well decorated, we especially liked the glass shelf casing with the comics. We noticed many locals began to enter and they seemed to be on top of getting everyone situated nicely. We went in not expecting much and ended up leaving very shocked and satisfied. If you're ever passing by Ozona please do yourself a favor a stop by here. Truly some good Tex-Mex as they say.

This place is like a collector's cave that also happens to serve Tex Mex. Comic books, random memorabilia, and as a huge Batman fan I was unexpectedly thriving in here. In the middle of nowhere and suddenly I'm distracted by collectibles? Didn't see that coming. Food though... mixed bag. Burritos are tiny. Respectfully... where's the rest of it? They don't use lard which some people will love, but flavor wise it felt a little flat. Guac was sad. We ordered the three scoops and got a small portion buried under a mountain of lettuce for no reason. Salsa with the chips was bland and the chips themselves were just... there. Now plot twist, the salsa that came with the burritos was actually good. Not life changing but definitely better than the starter situation. Service was great and there's a cute house kitty out front greeting you like it's on payroll, which honestly boosted the whole experience. Overall, cool spot with personality. It fed us and got the job done. Not a banger, but memorable in its own weird little way.

It was a Monday, so some places were closed (some places do a shifted 2-day weekend - I'm not complaining, but it is something you need to factor in when travel-planning). We saw this place was rated decently, and it wasn't a chain / fast-food joint, so we agreed on it. We crossed under I-10 but found that it was located a few hundred yards west on the 1-way access road. Hence, we had to detour through a neighborhood just south of I-10 and work our way over to the restaurant that way. If you are heading east on I-10, it would probably be more easily accessible. Once we arrived, we were only the 2nd table of their lunch shift. A few more groups arrived while we were there, though. Service was good. Their menu selection wasn't bad, in terms of variety. It isn't all mundane Tex-Mex fare, but if that is what you are used to, they can accommodate you. Their salads were also a good option, according to one of our group. Everyone found something to their liking. We all left full. Prices seemed fair. If I were ever in Ozona again, I'd consider a return visit.
