This place is a hit or miss. I think the main issue is that sometimes they don't have everything in stock. I'm a big fan of their tostilocos, elite, fresas con crema, and their cucumber water. However, the elote can be a hit or miss because sometimes it tastes a bit sour almost. I'm a bit torn when it comes to the employees. Some are really nice and some aren't. In particular, one lady is really rude and always seems to have an attitude. She seems to be upset that we want to order. On the contrary, a newer employee (sorry I didn't get her name) is the sweetest lady ever. She was so attentive from the start and made sure we were really content with our ice cream flavors. Line goes by a bit slow since there are only 2 employees working at a time and everything is made to order. We tried the elote, fresas con crema, and an aguas fresca with lemon, cucumber and chia seeds. The elote was warm and perfectly cooked with a nice bite to it but I wish there was more cheese in the cup, just a personal preference. The fresas con crema was delicious! The strawberries are sliced and tasted fresh and the crema mixture was not overly sweet (I almost wanted there to be a little more sugar, and I don't like things very sweet usually) and had a nice amount of pecans inside. The aguas fresca was nice and refreshing. Overall a good spot if you have a lot of time on your hands to wait, just don't come here if there's a line and you're looking to grab and go. read more

First time at La Michoacana Plus and we loved it! Juan was super helpful, letting us sample different ice creams and explaining all the options. We got the tostilocos "with the works" (made just like in Mexico!) and two scoops of ice cream, everything was fresh and delicious. We really liked this shop as there were a ton of different things for the kids to choose from. There was a fresh strawberries with cream item that sounded amazing, but they didn't have and fresh strawberries at the time. So we went with the backup plan of having the kids choose from 50+ different flavors of popsicles. One was vanilla with strawberry ice in the middle and the other kind of the reverse - strawberry with cream in the middle. Both were very tasty. I am a regular morning customer and I feel that this store needs to get a review after coming here so often and noticing a lot of change in the customer service, food, and ambiance. The service today 08/22/2024 was amazing the gentlemen who was working had great customer service orientation and his attitude was very positive and joyful. For food they were stocked with a delicious variety of paletas and ice cream and choco bananas. not to mention they were also stocked with a variety of different chips for tostilocos. For the aguas Frescas, the agua de Pina was by far the best agua Fresca I have had it was so refreshing and light it's a definite must have! Really cool place to take the family. There are plenty of options from food to dessert. All the yummy snacks el paletero would have. SO MANY FLAVORS!!! It was hard to choose a flavor because they had so many options and they all looked delicious. I ended up getting a classic mangonada and it hit the spot! I can't wait to try the rest of their items. Worst service ever. I felt bad for the only cashier they had working there. I entered the establishment with my 2 children. We were the only ones there, my children were trying to figure out what to order since this place was out of many of the ice cream flavors they normally get. While looking another couple walked in and the cashier asked them to wait a moment, the couple smiled and sat down to wait for their turn. I had started placing my order and the cashier became over whelmed. She started walking back and forth, saying she was the only one there and that her coworkers would be in soon to help her. No one was rushing her, no one said anything about the long wait. Nothing, she just started getting an attitude. So, we placed our order and paid. We sat down and started eating, then she asked the couple if she could help them, they placed their order but she did not have some of the items they asked for. The couple did not get upset or say anything negative. They just changed their order, but the cashier started to complain about how some ppl were rude and if they didn't like it they could go somewhere else. They couple just smiled and were agreeing with her but they looked uncomfortable. Then she went into how some ppl would complain because she's wasn't fast but it wasn't her fault because she was the only one working. Once again she said if they didn't like it they could leave. Im we got a little uncomfortable, 1 because no one had complained and second we all knew we weren't in a rush to go anywhere. I feel her whole poor me attitude ruined the experience for me and my kids. We just wanted to go out and enjoy some family time. We wanted to relax and enjoy or treat but how could we in this hostile environment. I think the cashier needed to take her own advice, if she can't handle the job then maybe she should go elsewhere. This is a very good way of bringing sales down in a time all restaurant are fighting for every penny they can get. One bad employee can cost an employer a lot of money.
