Instead, the whole boulangerie has racks upon racks of Baguette, Croissant-type dough as a pie with cranberries and a few other bread-type pastries. Grabbed 2 Croissant-type pies for my Mumsy and one for Auntie-in-Law...which by the way- they enjoyed when we brought them back home. Their Baguette? That's another story and a sad one too as we prepped up mentally to bring with us a butter knife and some butter from our hotel room to have a picnic right in the car! But that sucker weighed a ton, was way too soft and doughy and not crusty at all. I like my Baguette well done, with a crust and hear that ultimate C-R-U-N-C-H sound when you first break that end piece. The person behind the counter was pleasant and Blouin is really on to something. And granted, they've been putting their soul into this century-old boulangerie business this long. I personally loved the sweetness from the chocolatine with almonds with the almond filling and the crepe with the fruits and creme anglais (also called custard, but much less viscous than traditional custard) As well, the normal chocolatine was very flaky and buttery with a hint of the chocolate inside of it. I would recommend getting a savoury crepe (which can contain ham, cheese, and/or egg traditionally) and getting a sweet pastry to get a nice balanced breakfast. In the breakfast menu you can get a crepe, which also comes with a bowl of hot chocolate. It is a great place to eat and try some very delicious pastries. 5/5
