I love La Nueva Michiacana's large variety of paleta flavors, their high quality, and low prices. Strawberries and cream (fresas con crema), cookies and cream (galleta oreo), and coconut (coco) are my favorites. All paletas cost only MX$18 (about US$0.95 at the current exchange rate) except for fresas con crema, MX$28 (US$1.49). We come to Cabo annually and I always stock my refrigerator with paletas from La Nueva Michoacana. I highly recommend this paleteria. It is worth a detour. read more

When the Cabo sun is blazing and you just want a cool refreshing treat to beat the heat, I would highly recommend stopping by this spot in downtown. They sell an assortment of ice cream and popsicles. I got a mango popsicle for two dollars and it tasted amazing! Trust me, I was tempted to run back to the shop after finishing the popsicles in five minutes, but decided last minute not to. Prices are inexpensive and the servers are quick to take your order and cash you out. If not with a customer you can find the staff cleaning and making sure the spot is tidy. A perfect dessert spot after you eat at Tacos Guss, Tacos El Paisa or Las Guacamayas. It's on the same block. Make sure you bring pesos because they don't take credit. They offer delicious and creamy ice creams, as well as paletas (popsicles). It's also much cleaner than most other ice cream stall around. The ice cream flavors aren't unusual, but my favorite is the cookies and cream. It has a hint of cinnamon and the ice cream texture is so different from American ice cream. The paletas have an assortment of different flavors (mostly fruit) and come in cream or ice. I love that it's so cheap. A paleta or a scoop of ice cream is 15 pesos, 2 scoops is 20 pesos and 3 scoops is 30 pesos. I wish I took a picture but I ate my ice cream so fast! read more

I love ice cream and seek it out constantly, so on my Cabo vacation, I had to hit this shop. It is pretty cute with the many flavor options colorfully presented on the wall. Every time I passed by, there was one worker in the front. I could not stay away for long (it was hot, but that's no excuse, ice cream is always necessary) and tried a few cones and paletas (fruit pops). The paletas were made of real fruit with chunks inside. These cool treats were refreshing on a hot day. The guava paleta may have had too many chunks for my liking, but if I ever return to CBS, I will definitely be back to try more flavors. Love this place! My boyfriend and I accidentally passed this place while looking for certain restaurants during our stay in Cabo San Lucas. We ended up coming here twice. They serve fresh juices, ice creams, fruit popsicles, and cream popsicles. They also offer a few snacks for purchase.
