La Oriental is the bomb! The best tacos Arabes in Puebla with Tacos Tony in a close second. The pork is slow cooked all day on a spit then wrapped in tender fresh baked shawarma bread. They usually have a yummy chipotle type salsa to go with it. These tacos are found mainly in Puebla, Mexico. They were were brought to Mexico by Middle Eastern Immigrants and the meat was originally lamb. La Oriental's meat is tender, juicy and exploding with flavor. Hints of cumin, pepper and oregano. The meat is marinated first before it is sliced thinly and put on a spit and layered with onions. You can also order the meat by the kilo and take it with you. They will provide you with plenty of salsa, shawarma and beer if that is your preference. This place is amazing, the people are warm and friendly. My favorite!

I thought nothing of it because the tacos are pretty much great anywhere and everywhere in Mexico, but I was immediately impressed. The tacos here are great! I especially like the al pastor ones, but what really makes them extra tasty are their salsas! They have four, but their green avocado one will take your tacos to the next level! What really makes me love this place and is the big reason for the 5 stars are their licuados! They.Are.Amazing! Especially their licuado de mamey!! Mamey is this incredible fruit that is just perfect for a smoothie because it's so creamy. The US unfortunately doesn't have this fruit, so I make sure to make a stop here whenever I'm in Puebla visiting. It's just THAT good. Haha I cannot recommend this smoothie enough to all of you!
