This is the only fruit and vegetable shop in the village although the mini markets do serve a small pre packed selection. The shop is run by Renaldo and offers a good mix of fruit and vegetables which are usually pretty fresh as he goes to the big fruit and veg markets in Venice twice a week. There are all the usual things you would expect from a UK fruit and veg shop as well as seasonal specialties and a wide mix of berries. The big difference is that all the produce tastes fresh and more like it was home grown than bulk grown and processed as you'd find in a large UK supermarket chain. One word of warning though, DO NOT HANDLE THE PRODUCE as this does tend to upset him a bit. Better to just ask him to select it for you, he'll always give you the best stuff. read more
