Those kinds of places are full of drinking kids on vacation. Luckily there was a Google review about La Lonja that sounded promising. And it was just a couple blocks away from the beach. We ordered a plate with mussels, clams, shrimp and rice. It was like Paella but better. The stock was out of this world. My friends and I spent the whole meal trying to figure out just what was in that stock. It was the best meal of the entire trip. The staff was very friendly but mentioned they would tell us the recipe, but would have to kill us afterward. LOL So glad I spotted the review from Kaitlyn B!

We ended up going here our very first night in town when we were all exhausted and sleep deprived. I must say, it may have been our first dinner in Spain, but it was also our best. Pitcher upon pitcher of sangria and food that tasted like it someone's grandmother prepared it with a ton of love. Everything about this place felt like we were guests in someone's home. The service was tremendous and they tried their best to explain things to us that we weren't quite getting. The acorn fed Iberian ham was melt in your mouth good. The seafood was delicious. We really soaked in our first night here and felt so welcome. If I'm ever back this way I'm 100% going back. If you ever get to Lloret de Mar and want to get away from the touristy spots, this is a good place to check out. Loved it.

Even the simplest and most common dishes like little fried fish or green olives are something else compared to numerous other places in town. Service is just lovely - very attentive, quick, sinserely friendly and discreet. Seems to be preferred restaurant for local people. Warm and comfy interiour is decorated in sea style. When sitting outside you can see the mediterranean sea from afar. Prices - no cheap, nor expensive.
