Food: We ordered 2 pizzas, the Margherita and Pizza salame. They were both very delicious! Considered more as a flat pizza in my opinion, the crusts were crispy and the flavors were absolutely amazing! The portion could be considered 'personal' but a little larger than your standard personal pie! Cost: The prices were a little steep in my opinion, however, as a traveler I do know Norway is considered more expensive and so taking that into account, I want to say that the price here was average. Environment: The theme here encompassed an 'Italian' theme- absolutely loved the olive trees that were used to decorate the restaurant. It had a very classic/cozy vibe and made the experience that much better! Service: Absolutely A+! I just want to say that the service and hospitality they provided for my boyfriend and I was amazing! We were traveling late into the night and decided to quickly stop by to grab some warm food/bite to eat, however, we were misinformed that the restaurant would be opened until 12 because upon or arrival around 10PM, the restaurant was closing down. We quickly asked if the kitchen was open and to our surprise, even though our waiter told us the kitchen was cleaning up, he actually went out of his way to look into seeing if they can whip us up some pizza quickly! We were absolutely so grateful because we were starving after a long day of driving/traveling! Uniqueness: The environment and service that this place provides would be the unique aspect of this restaurant! A nice surprise to find this nice and comfortable restaurant in Sogndal. The best in this town and in the small towns surrounding the fjords. Food and service is good. If you are nearby, don't hesitate and give it a try. It's the best value for your money given all the local restaurants around the fjords, that are super expensive for crappy meals. OK to good Italian food--garlic bread, pizza, pasta, etc. Waitstaff were friendly, but the different tables of our party waited for only 10 minutes for dishes (great!) to over 20 minutes after the first group had already finished eating (not great!). $25 pizza. Really? Still was more edible than a $40 trout fillet that had more bones than fish is born with. Not to mention "boiled" potatoes. Probably was boiled in cold water 'cause surely they weren't cooked. Extra cheese for pasta is $3. Serviceable in a place that has few options. Margherita pizza -- no fresh basil, no tomatoes, basically a cheese 'za with dried basil sprinkled on -- and spicy salami one were both disappointing. Crust isn't good texture. Service was reasonable, but not exceptional and a tad surly. We didn't leave hungry after a hard day of glacial scrambling, which says something. They did take a reservation, have a vegetarian option, and maintain a reasonably nice environment to linger over bad pizza and beer, so. read more

My husband had the Deer steak and I had the pasta with chicken and bacon both were very good. The waiter suggested a wine to go with the meal that was not to expensive and just right. read more
