We would not have discovered Pepito's had we not arrived in Piazza Armenia, lost, and with our…read morephones dead. So instead of Siri leading us to the doorstep of our B and B, we asked directions of two women working in the kitchen of a not yet open restaurant. By some miracle, we were only 100 meters from our destination. The women were so nice and helpful despite speaking no English, we decided to return for dinner. Lucky we did. The menu was wonderful. So were the fixed price meals of the day (16 euro) for three courses, wine, water, and bread. The real attraction was a hot and cold buffet for 12 euros. Rice balls filled with meat cheese and vegetables were incredible as well as the eggplant parmigiana, artichokes and so much more. Our pasta and swordfish entrees were also excellent, as were the fig and banana tortas. Loved the local red and white wines, too. The restaurant was a perfect welcome back to Sicily ... and a reminder we have been away too long.
