My dog went in with so much hair and literally came back bald. As pet groomers, they should know that you shouldn't exactly shave a shih tsu all the way down to their bare skin because they need that fur to help keep them either cool or warm! Because it was extremely hot that day, when we got in the car, I could see her moving away from the Sun by the window because she would either get so hot and burned easily which is not how I wanted my dog to feel after going to the groomers, or even at all for that matter! Not only that, but my aunt called twice to ask if they accepted cheques - which someone clarified twice that they do, but upon showing up with said cheques, we were simply denied. Not sure why the policy changed with no notice? And why no one was held accountable? Checkbooks are expensive! And that was a waste! So not happy that they don't hold anyone liable. Upon coming home as well, my family realized they missed one of her nails and she did look patchy all over. The entire process took a ridiculous 4 hours..... for 1 small shih tsu. read more

Don't go to this groomer. I made an appointment with them for 9am. Called them at 12pm wondering where the hell my dog is and they said they havent even started on him. Its been almost 5 hours and he's still not home yet. They have them just sitting inside by the sink waiting. Awful!!! DO NOT GO THERE! read more

I've had my cavalier groomed here a handful of times with decent results. This time they gave him a rash and irritated nipple It showed up 2 days after groom. He was randomly yelping. Yes he was scratching and licking it so we put the cone on him. We also applied a doggie antibiotic. He was whining like crazy. I called the groomers and left a message with request to be called back. They didn't call back! read more

My Golden came back with shaver burns behind both ears which she proceeded to scratch at and make worse for the next week. Not good when you take your dog to be groomed and they actually hurt her. read more

My dog came home with little nicks around her leg, and scabs at the tips of both of her ears. She's been groomed professionally countless times at other groomers, and I've never seen her injured before. Absolutely horrified to see that my dog had these little injuries. I would not recommend this groomer to anyone. My happy golden doodle is terrified to go into this groomer. We went to multiple groomers before LA Grooming and she never had a problem, but after visiting this groomer she is now scared of the whole process. Anything that could make her that scared is not okay with me. Not only that but she also looked horrible after! They did a terrible job. read more

Want to change the breed of your dog? My dog went in as a Wheaton terrier and came out as greyhound. The cut (shave) she was given was pathetic! There is patches of unevenness all over her face and body. I have never experienced such bad grooming. Refund...good luck! read more

Love LA Pet Grooming, our dogs are regulars and go every 3 weeks and get excited when it is bath day! We couldn't have asked for a better groomer for our dogs, I think they are spoiled and have lots of play time with other dogs and always come back groomed to perfection! Well done ladies! read more

LA PET GROOMING really cares about the animals. For some reason I see a few negative reviews but pls know these guys do a lot of good for dogs. And if your dog gets shaved and you didn't want it it's probably because you haven't brushed your dog and it's matted. They will not do something that will hurt the dog due to owner negligence. They help out Rescues/donating grooms to fosters and try to help out if someone needs it. Also you have to keep in mind they have groomers that work there that may be fresh out of grooming school so they are slower but everyone has to start somewhere... you CAN ALWAYS request a master groomer who is fast and obviously been grooming way longer than a newer person. They're always fair if they make a mistake and have a 24 hour guarantee where if they can fix something they will. I take my dogs here but also have become friends with them so I know the ins and outs of the business. Don't be so quick to judge and try to understand it's not an easy job. They break their backs doing old dogs on the floor and clean up matted and will never complain about it and dogs that shit on them and bite them etc. Don't be such a dick when reviewing a place like this. read more
