Family owned restaurant... Their rolls are fresh, and made from scratch. I always order the chicken piccata. They are not shy on using capers... And the sauce is excellent... With a great lemon flavor. I literally go out of my way to eat here when I'm in town... I just love this dish. Definitely a family place. I'm the one sitting there by myself... Reading emails. Yelp Hq says that three stars is Okay; so this is a 2.5 star review. The olde saying is that you only get one chance to make a first impression ... and when I arrived only two tables were occupied and eight, count'm 8, tables were dirty. Only 2:8 were bussed while I was there. The service was prompt and attentive, but almost forgot my drink order. It arrived with a properly chilled and frosted mug, thank you very much. It was swiftly followed by a basked of fresh, warm rolls. The lasagna matches the picture posted by another Yelper. The sauce was of the sweet variety, but lacked the tomato-y tang that I prefer. Frankly; given the choice between Stouffer's frozen lasagna made at home or La Piazza ... I would choose Stouffer's. Will i return? Perhaps. But I live ~800 miles away and am unlikely to have the opportunity. If I lived nearby, I would return and try other menu items. read more

I've eaten there a dozen times over the past 2 years. Excellent food. Especially the tomato soup with their fresh bread. And the shrimp scampi. Family run, even the kids help out. Very sweet. Booths seating needs fixed up but overall a very good experience. read more

The ambiance in the restaurant is nice. The 1 person I saw was very sweet and professional, but I think she could have used some helped! The Stuffed Mushrooms were AMAZING, the tomato basil soup was delicious, but the rolls were stale and the spaghetti withe meat sauce, well, I threw them in the trash after a couple bites. If you are looking for a great Italian meal, I don't think El Dorado is the place to do it. read more

Love to eat here. I've yet have something that's less than pleasant. We had the salmon baked/grilled. Portions are more than enough for 2 people. Vegetables are cooked enough that they'll still crunchy. We shared this & one serving was more than enough for 2 people. Service Beyond reproach. read more

Had the chicken with eggplant and pasta with pink sauce. Portions were good. The salad that came with it was not fresh. It was like from a premix salad bag you'd get from a grocery store. Sorry but being truthful. The garlic bread was also generous servings for three guests but got hard quickly and no butter was included. Prices seemed in line with current inflation. I really like this place. They make a great chicken piccata... With plenty of capers. The problem is... The last six times I was in town... Not exaggerating... Six times... It always says they're open on yelp. But they are not. I think the family must've gone back home overseas for the season or something? Anyway... I tried to like this! I wanted pizza but it only comes with cheese and for each topping after the cheese it's $1.50 each so at $12.95 then add toppings it's a pricey little product. Below in photos is the baked chicken zita lunch special. Sauce was good but loaded with garlic. Salad .... why has salad became a bowl of iceberg lettuce? STOP Waitress is not overly friendly. Better than most places in the area. The tomato basil soup is flavorful and full of herbs. The cream sauce on the chicken florentine is a bit thin (and messily plated), but the eggplant parmigiana is good, the eggplant lasagna is gooey and good, and other dishes looked good as well. I'm surprised that this restaurant has so little business--my only theory is that people are scared off by the use of herbs. (A server reported that many people eat only a bite or two of the tomato basil soup. Okay, it's robust...is it that robust?) I'd recommend giving it a try. read more

First I must say that the food was very tasty. We went early so the staff was slim. There was a toddler who belonged to the server running through the restaurant playing. I just can't understand why the reviews are so high for this place. This was my 2nd visit here. The 1st was mediocre at best. But this time was bad. I ordered the "pasta roma". it's lasagna and baked ziti in the same bowl. The meat sauce was watered down by the ground beef's grease that they obviously didn't drain. The bottom of the lasagna was burnt. I don't mean over cooked, crunchy, out a little dry. I mean straight charcoal! Unfortunately because it's so dark in the restaurant, I didn't even notice the charred noodle until I tasted it. The horrendous flavor can only be described as what I assume smokers taste all day long. In short, don't waste your money here. read more

I've eaten here a couple of times and I have gotten food poisoning both times. The last time was the worst case I've ever had. I paid over $26 for a 1/2-3/4" ribeye steak that tasted like it was microwaved and of course made me miserably sick. So many people in this town recommend this restaurant but I guess I've just been unlucky twice. read more

We moved here a couple of weeks ago and are trying out the cool places. Great bread!!! And everything we ordered was awesome! I got stuffed salmon and the hubs got shrimp Alfredo. Great atmosphere with cool murals on the walls. We will be back!. read more

The only thing I can recommend is the stone baked pizza. I've had about 10 of them and have not been disappointed yet. It comes as thin crust only and tends to droop, so be careful or your lap will get toppings on them. Even though the crust isn't that pleasing the flavor is great. The blonde lady (waitress) was rude from the moment I walked in. No customer service skills. No personality. She acted as though I was interrupting her day by coming in to eat there. Not busy when I was there and service was slow. I am from out of town so I asked what their popular dishes are and the blonde immediately replied w only the most expensive ones on the menu. Salad was horrible. Bread was good. Garlic butter spaghetti was amazing! That is the reason they get one star because of the flavor of the food. Small child sitting at the bar (behind the bar, so it's someone they know) with an iPad watching videos that were blaring as loud as possible and the kid was trying to scream just as loud. Horribly unprofessional and unacceptable!!! Parking is worse than ridiculous and it wasn't even busy. Would never go back. I used to really like this restaurant but the last time my husband and I came here we had to ask to be served after sitting at our table for 15 minutes. Then when I got my salad with my meal I asked for cheese and the older, short haired blonde lady snatched my salad up like it was an inconvenience and brought it back with piled up cheese on it... More cheese than salad. Needless to say, we decided to leave and will NEVER come back! When I asked her to speak to the owner/manager, she told me he was busy. Not sure why I haven't reviewed this restaurant before I've eaten here many times and had a good meal every time. Staff is friendly and food is always good. Parking can be a challenge sometimes but usually not too bad. Pretty much the only real Italian restaurant in town but is definitely above average. read more

The service was great: attentive, timely and polite. I had the special Seafood caneleni with a choice of gravy. The combo marinara cream sauce was rich and incredibly tasty. This is a simple Italian restaurant with great food and great prices. Decent but not overly pricing wine list that's filled with food friendly choices by the glass. My boss swears by this place. We eat "to go" at least once a month. I have had about half the items on the menu and its all been good.

Great place to eat.. Pretty good wine menu also. STAFF isn't very friendly and someone always has a baby playing on the dining room floor.
