Call me a softie, a sell-out, a traitor to my roots, but I'm saying it loud and proud: I kind of really like Antoine et Lili. What did me in? The middle shop devoted to kids stuff. Right before my little tot was born I found an adorable patchwork stuffed elephant there that looks like a grandma sewed it together used retro pieces of fabric. I was bummed to find out that it wasn't one of a kind, however, but for 20E, I couldn't turn it down. I've since gone back on multiple occasions for other goodies, like a fabulous hand-crocheted rattle from Peru that is safe for babies to suck on, and these amazing unisex leather booties with Freddy Mercury pizazz. Each time I've gone in the staff has been super sweet and helpful and genuinely baby-friendly. Conversely, the actual number of clothing designs is actually rather finite - variety consists of producing each tried-and-true pattern in a multitude of the aforementioned prints. Ultimately, these qualities allow for brightly colored clothing to be enjoyed outside of Lilly Pulitzer's Junior League and West Palm Beach retiree enthusiasts. As a bonus, VAT refunds are processed. The sales assistant states that clothes from this basket cannot be tried on first. Pourqoi?? There was no sign in the shop stating that this is the case. I believe the sales assistant just made up the rule on the spot because she took a disliking to us, for whatever twisted reason she had. How on earth can you buy clothes without seeing if they fit first? Had they fitted, my daughter would have bought these items plus a scarf. The owner chooses the items carefully, selecting only those that meet her criteria for "mode éthique." There is a very small section of used clothing, which speaks to the eco-friendly philosophy of the owner. The prices are not low, but are reasonable for the quality of the items. As an added bonus, the owner showed me how to wear my new blazer in a truly Parisian style. Overall, shopping here was a delight.

I had bookmarked a few spots before my visit, but came upon this spot when I was walking around. It's very cozy but has a great selection, and I managed to score a sweater I love, two super soft scarves (one for my best friend), and a really cool ring. My favorite clothing store in all of Montmartre…read more Every time I think of a little Parisian boutique, I think of this cute little store just off the cobbled stretch of Rue des Abbesses, close to the metro. Despite the fact that the name makes me giggle, a little. Come here for delicately unique necklaces and bracelets, 100% Parisian leather bags, cute little polka-dotted pajama sets and to gawk at the gorgeous selection of military-style pea coats and printed tea dresses. The owner is incredibly sweet and attentive, and almost always offers a discount on select items (one day jewelry, another day coats or scarves), which is fortunate, because her wares are not cheap. Ask her to grab you a size if it's not on display: she has a fair amount of inventory in back.

This cute little consignment/2nd hand store is located in a beautiful galerie with some other very…read morenice stores. Seriously, the tilestone outside is gorgeous. I was a little surprised to see the prices here considering that this store only has one euro sign on yelp. Do not be fooled, the prices are quite high, but that is because the type of clothing they sell is very high end. Their selection is very well curated- I saw many top high fashion brands as I perused. Although I did not leave with a purchase, I enjoyed looking through the store. There are definitely some sweet finds here, with most of the clothes in near mint condition, as long as you've got a big budget! The other stores in the little galerie are also quite nice and expensive, but once again very well put together. Definitely worth a visit, even if it's just to window-shop.
