The food was absolutely delicious and packed full of flavor. The empanadas w/Chilean mussels were good, however the muscles were a bit chewy so for that reason I would opt out next time. The rest of my dishes such as the shrimp and the ceviche were phenomenal. Everyone does ceviche differently however they definitely do it to my preference. It was slightly spicy and the fish was not chewy. Also I was surprised and delighted to find out the waiter spoke Spanish since I speak no German. It was much easier to order for me.

Our late arrival wasn't a single cause for trouble and we felt very much welcome. Some guests arrived even later than us. The amuses where just great. The owners advise about what to have was very elaborate and tempting. We followed his advise. The food, wine and service were great. All-in-all a lovely family-owned restaurant I would recommend to anyone who enjoys good, honest food and service.

After some delicious Portuguese wine a giant platter comes out with so much seafood. I was thinking a couple of filets of fish, not a huge seafood platter with different pieces of fish (swordfish, salmon, and a white fish that was so good but due to the language barrier will now always be a mystery fish), shrimps, clams, squid, octopus, potatoes and so much more. The photo really doesn't do it justice. It just looks like a giant mess, but I assure you it was one of our best meals on the entire 2 week trip and one we still talk about often. And yes, we got a little plate of salad before the platter came out. It was so much food and definitely a clean protein meal. Loved it and loved this place!

We got to try some new foods and had a great time. I loved the wine, hubby loved the calamari and tortilla, kids enjoyed the meatballs (also the orange ice cream and crème brûlée.) Their parents really liked the cheeses. This is a great locale to enjoy a wonderful meal with friends and family.
