(The garlic soup especially is an unmissable!!) Best meal in Berlin! The only imperfection: not a wide range of wine on their menu. Perhaps you need to ask for it?

Our experience here wasn't very good. =(…read more One of my friends is vegetarian, so right after we sat down we asked about vegetarian dishes. The waiter meant: "we have chicken, but only one left!" We wanted to ordered some tapas, but he didn't have 2 other things - pimientos de padron and another one which I don't remember. We ended up ordering some other tapas. As for the drinks, we were excited to see that he had "caipirinha Brasileira". Again, he disappointed us and explained that he wouldn't have the time to prepare 3 caipirinhas: "they take too long". My friend proposed Aperol spritz instead. He then, clearly frustrated with us, explained that "aperol is Italian, you are in a Spanish place!" come on! It's not like we wanted super complicated things... When you have no vegetarian options and you aren't serving half of the things on your menu... Then something is wrong.at least considering that anywhere in Berlin one would be able to find those things easily. And that is the problem of the place, in my opinion. It looks nice and authentic. And the food was ok. But try really made a restaurant "like in Spain". It's a shame. I'm a BIG fan of authentic cuisines and I'm not German, but I would expect that you try to suit a little bit your consumers. Anyways, this was all quite frustrating, but we decided to overlook it all and give the tapas a try. They were ok... A little too salty (like a previous reviewer has noticed), but in a relative big portion. We were actually planning on ordering a second round of tapas, but they weren't that good and the portions are big, so we decided it was not worth it. Instead, we ordered a Crema Catalana to share. Unfortunately it was very burnt on the top. We didn't want to complain because the waiter had already been rude before and we didn't feel like discussing. We ordered the bill. When it arrived we asked to pay separately, which is absolutely normal in Berlin (but apparently is not in Spain). He just replied: "it's all written there, calculate yourself..." and left. We were too nice and even left a tip. It wasn't worth it.
