Loved my visit here. The beauty of the vineyard adjacent to the 1000 year old castle with its stone…read morewalls and wooden beams was the highlight for me and the wine played second fiddle. Having said that, the wine we tasted was quite good as well. This is estate wine where all the grapes are from the vineyards that surround the castle. As these grapes are only found in Spain and the estate does not ship outside of the country, this tasting experience offers foreigners a unique opportunity to taste wines you will not find anywhere else but here. Nice! Being a bit of a wine snob I am always looking for opportunities like this and this and Oller del Mas definitely fit the bill, castle and all!! Whether you are into wine or not, this is a tasting that should be enjoyable by all. Unique opportunities like this should not be missed!

We learned that the winery has been in the same family for over 20 generations with is crazy. Also one of their wines is sold at Disfruitas, a 2 Michelin star restaurant. We did a tasting with tapas as part of our tour. The food was just ok. We tasted 2 red wines and 2 white wines. I liked the second white and the second red. The tasting consisted of their low end price point wines.
