I was very pleasantly surprised with the quality of food from La Potosina in Savannah, TN. I used them to cater a lunch for one of my doctors offices. I personally ordered the stuffed poblanos and they were some of the best I have ever had. The steak (Asada) was excellent and not fatty. And the chilies were delicious. The food ordered for my lunch n learn with my docs was also very nicely presented and everyone loved the food, complimenting on the quality and flavors. I will certainly be back when I'm the area again. Looking forward to trying a number of other items on the menu. read more

Very large price increases with new menu. Ordered from on line and when picked up a 37% increase. Said new menu.

Tamales were terrible Enchilada sauce was odd and not normal what I'm use to. I'm sure it's because of the location in Mexico the owner is from that region that is normal for them read more

My taco salad was like soup and the taco salad shell had a stale taste to it. Would recommend La Pina instead.

Classic Savannah eating spot. Businesses come and go but Poto is here to stay! They have fast service, good food and friendly staff.

We did come here often but after tonight we probably will not be back. The waitress was rude and could not get our order correct. A beef taco salad no guac no sour cream and a side of beans. And an order of enchiladas. She could not understand a side of beans. when we finally got our order the taco salad had guac and sour cream. We returned it, but when it was brought back it had sour cream all over it. The waitress came by picked up the taco salad and threw it away instead if correcting the problem. Then she charged for the taco salad which was not even touched before she threw it away. we asked for a mgr she left went to the kitchen and came back and said she will not take it off the ticket. We left and won't be back. Wow. And if you want alcohol anyone can get it because there is no id check here. read more

Great Mexican food for out in the middle of nowhere, they are actually on Main Street now next to the Skating Rink, they serve Margaritas and they have a full bar which is unheard of for most of the area. Definitely recommend. read more

Great little Mexican restaurant with fast service and friendly staff. The food was fantastic!

My family drives through Savannah quite often. And we always stop here. Best find on the menu the steak quesadilla. Under four dollars for a quesadilla stuffed with flavorful steak caramelized onions and cheese. My dad talks about it for a whole day before we actually get it in in about two days after that. read more

Unimpressed. The chicken dish I got was way too spicy hot and the heat was coming from black pepper. Was supposed to have queso on it but dang if I could find any. Husband had a dish that was uppised to have child relleno for which one would expect to see a chile right? Wrong! Had two or three pieces in some kind of gravy stuff and his chalupa was soggy. Hands down this ranks in the top three of the worst excuse for Mexican food that I have ever been served. It is an insult to the heritage of Mexican cuisine. Totally tasteless. A sauce for enchiladas is not water or broth simply thickened with corn starch and a small amount of spices added. Tostadas are supposed to be crispy not limp and tough. A tamale should not be over steamed and soggy, it should be lightly steamed and served in the husk. A chili relleno is about the pepper and it is a delicate dish, not an unrecognizable mass covered in tasteless cheese. If you had a Tia or an Abuelita who cooked like this you would make excuses not to go over to eat and they surely would be snickered at by their relatives. read more

Good food and great Mexican food for a small town in Savannah. My family and I have been going here for a couple years now. Each time I try something now, I never leave disappointed. The only small issue I have with the place is the bad service I get sometimes. A couple of the waiters I've had seem to be more interested with their cellphones than the patron. Came in Hungry off the Lake for a 2pm lunch. We ordered and it felt like seconds had past by and our food was at the table. I had Hawaiian Chicken Fajitas. Back in Huntsville, that would mean chicken and pineapple ... but La Potosina also throws in a little ham. That was an awesome throw in ... it worked. That lunch hit the spot! Had been here probably 6 times and the food has been really inconsistent. At times it's pretty decent, but then other times it's rather awful. Well today I did my first call-in for a pick-up and they mistook carnitas for carne asada. The problem was they would only remake mine, but my wife's food was going to have sit there (they don't use a warmer). So I was stuck with what they made me. When I got home I opened it to find several pieces of the driest, toughest pieces of meat that were just terrible. They should not be serving this to anyone. I won't return at this point. read more

1 or 2 years ago they had some good Mexican Food at the old location. The new location is a different story. A month ago I ordered Vegitarian Fahita's and it was so spicey hot could hardly eat it.
