Well I finally went and checked this place out after church today... the food was ok, nothing really to write home about, the fried chicken was underdone I expected better... the brown gravy was probably the best part.... The service was much like a feed lot... lady came by and got our drink orders and promptly delivered them in a styrofoam cup... where they pre-made?? Not sure.... And that was about the extent of the service.... The place reminds me of the cafeteria in junior high school kind of bleak looking walls and a little too lit up.... I usually enjoy eating here, mainly for breakfast. Today was absolutely ridiculous! I don't ever complain because I work in this same industry and it isn't easy. I found a hair in my eggs and we brought it up nicely and quietly to our waitress. She had a bad attitude towards it and said nothing but "ok". I didn't ask for a refund or to have it taken off my bill, I just wanted new eggs. Which they did give me. The waitress was not apologetic or cared at all. It wasn't her fault but as a waitress you need to give good customer service. After this conversation there was another girl wearing a rudolf onesie who heard about this, she then very loudly said "this is why I hate the Christmas crowd, they always complain about stupid sh*t". This was very unprofessional because I wasn't complaining about anything stupid. I found a HAIR in my food, that is disgusting. We didn't make a scene because yes it does happen. We are also not "christmas crowd", we are locals. We will not be back because the disrespect was very loud for no reason. Very unprofessional. We also saw the prep lady wipe her nose and prep the buffet line at the same time, no gloves and carrying the wrap for it in her mouth and then puts it on the line. Super gross. read more

This is a really great place to eat. There is a good variety on the menu and the fish buffet on Friday was excellent. Everyone is nice and genuine friendly. The owner came around and spoke to everyone in the dining area. The decor is simple, with plastic cloth covered tables, plenty of seating area and stuffed wildlife on the walls. Tonight's special was a T-bone (2 sizes to choose from) and it was incredible with a perfect cross-hatch marks and charring. Tender. Juicy. The fish buffet was hot, inviting and well-stocked. The buffet had fish fillet and strips, fried chicken, Great Northern beans, mashed potatoes, green beans, peach cobbler, grilled/bbq chicken, fries and hush puppies. The only things I didn't like were the green beans (tin can taste and no seasoning) and the chicken (rather dry and bland). We chose to try the dressing plate lunch one Sunday and were very disappointed in the lack of flavor or character. It had no seasoning and was so bland. The next items we plan to try are the open-faced roast beef and a hamburger. The roast beef is sliced and trimmed in-house and is tender (per Mrs. Monday). This is located behind the Fred's and the parking area is a bit small, but there are spots in the back. Don't let the full lot deter you from dining because Mollie Monday's is like Doctor Who's TARDIS, it is vastly larger on the inside than it appears on the outside. read more

We are new to the Savannah area from a large city. We are used to having a lot of restaurant options but Savannah is quite limited which is ok, we knew what we were getting into. We have tried all the restaurants in town (except for Mexican food) and Mollie Monday's is our favorite by far. I love the salad bar, and their variety of food. Ok, here we go... Short and sweet version: skip it. Keep looking at other yelp reviews in the area. The details: 5 in our party and a variety of selections. Ragin' Cajun was pretty good. Sausage, shrimp and chicken pan fried with peppers, onions. The club sandwich was pretty good as well. The fried mushrooms were tasty for those that like that. The hamburger tasted frozen and was fried almost hard. The country fried steak-like substance (think middle school country fried steak patties-- only frozen too long ) was swimming in pepper white gravy which I suspect was an attempt to add flavor. The creamed potatoes were interesting. Not sure what they used as cream-- maybe buttermilk as they were kind of off tasting--after I removed the gelatinous gravy from them. The green beans were good. The taco salad meat was way over cooked and something hard in it hurt my daughters tooth when she bit down on it. We went to Molly Mondays on a Saturday night. They had a buffet with catfish, chicken strips, assorted vegetables and a salad bar. I ordered the prime rib special and my companion ordered the ribeye. Both were cooked to perfection and well seasoned. With baked potato, salad and Texas toast, we totally enjoyed our dinner. The wait staff was very friendly and accomodating. The service is lacking but the food is good. We arrived about 7pm on a Friday night (which wasn't terribly busy) our waitress sara seemed annoyed that we didn't know exactly what we wanted and had questions to start off. Once our food got to the table our waitress disappeared and never bothered to come back not even to refill any drinks or give us our check. My husband got the fish buffet my son and I ordered the French dip and we had the chips and dip for an appetizer. The chips were hand sliced potatoes then fried and so good served with a yummy homemade French onion dip. The French dip was flavorful and juicy. My husbands fish was nicely seasoned and tender not over cooked like you might expect from a buffet. A very sweet young waitress named Heaven saw from across the restaurant that our table needed some attention and she refilled our drinks without being asked....she simply saw a need a fufilled it. My husband said right then..."make sure SHE gets the tip". After finishing our delicious meal we had to track down a our check since sara was MIA and we finally paid and as promised I gave Heaven a nice tip. We will be back but won't be sitting in Sara's section that's for sure! BTW I waited tables in Memphis tn on Beale st of all places for 6 years and there's just no excuse to ignore the patrons. read more
