So on the way back to the hotel we stopped by and within a short while we were best friends with the charming co-owner, Vincent, an ex-sommelier (speaks passable English). Don't expect anything too fancy as you squeeze into the table with a half dozen seats (there are also a couple of tables on the sidewalk), and we were apparently here on shipping day so the floor was overflowing with cases of wine. A steady stream of locals stopping by for a glass of wine and a bite at charcuterie at lunchtime. But Vincent really knows his wines, and if you do too, you will have a great time. We sampled what was open and then bought some special bottles to take back to the States. We also got a tour of their wine cellar, which is a very dusty basement that looked like it was dug out sometime around WWI. To top it off, Vincent decanted one of our purchases (we couldn't wait), and then we came back an hour later to share it with him along with some complementary charcuterie. Très magnifique!

Popped in for a few glasses of wine, and came out with a bottle to go. They have amazing and affordable wines here. I wish we had more of these in Cincinnati, where there are no pretentious vibes. Just people coming in for a glass or two of wine to unwind, and not have to pay an absurd amount for a great quality. They even have some appetizers too, but we didn't want to spoil our dinner.
