Nick's Chicken House & Pizzeria - Slices of Hawaiian and meat lover's pizzas

It takes them a while to make one of these maybe because it's so thick anyhow it was ready when they told me it would be. It's such a thick crusted pizza. It just doesn't seem to have as much flavour as it should. The sauce doesn't stand out. And it's just sort of blah with all those toppings. But hey, people in the area seem to love it. This place has been open since 1969. $37.90 for a 9" pizza seems pretty high. But it does weigh a lot. So if you look at per lbs it's likely a great deal.

The pizza here is great, but expensive. If we had paid for our takeout pizzas, I may give a 3.5…read morejust because of the price. The large meat lover's was $47.40 and the large Hawaiian was $44.85, per the online menu. There were for a birthday dinner as a special occasion to splurge a little. The meat lover's had pepperoni, meatballs, bacon, and Italian sausage. The Hawaiian had sweet ham, pineapple, and mushrooms. Both were really tasty, lots of cheese and toppings and thick crust. The crust was really crispy. Both were delicious and filling, heavy - I had two pieces and I was stuffed. We had a homemade salad on the side, but there's also salad on the menu. I think salad is the only veggie item and no fried zucchini sticks or mushrooms. Next time I'd like to try their pressure-fried chicken that they also specialize in - something with "chicken house" in its name has to be good, right?

The place was decorated for the holidays Placed a large order for take out, they advised it would be 15-20 min but it was ready to go in 10 mins. Sweet Thai chicken poppers will always be my favourite! They aren't always on the menu so you have to ask. The gravy, coleslaw, fries and biscuits were all delicious. The best part of their true chicken is that it isn't too oily nor is it too salty. It's delicious! Overall, everyone enjoyed it including the children.

My brother picked up some fried chicken, taters, macaroni and cheese salad, gravy and strawberry cream cheese pies for us and overall everything was great. We've had Mary Brown's chicken before at a few different locations and this location has the best taters! They really batter them and they were crispy and flavourful. They were also mostly small, which I like, I don't like the huge wedges that are all mealy. None of the pieces I ate were mealy, they were all delicious. The chicken was also delicious. Crispy on the outside and moist and tender on the inside. He got us both the spicy chicken and the regular non-spicy chicken. Both were delicious and the spicy was actually spicy, which I liked. It had a nice kick to it. The gravy was nice and thick but too salty for my liking. The macaroni and cheese salad was a flop with my nieces, they didn't like it at all, lol. They thought it was too sour. I'm not a huge fan of macaroni salad to begin with, so I wasn't crazy about it either, but my husband loved it. The strawberry cream cheese pies were ok. They remind me of the pies from Popeye's and Harvey's. My nieces liked the pies, lol. We got a free Mary Brown's can cozie with our meal. I like Mary Brown's and I think this location does it justice with the chicken and the taters, which is really the most important part. I'm a fan! Lots of free parking in the Fallingbrook Shopping Centre parking lot.
