I know I reviewed this vet before but I want to do it again and again because I want other pet owners to know this vet more so they could be able to help/ save their pup. It is such a blessing for me to know this vet, more specifically Dr. Adler! He's gentle, kind, you can tell he's truly care for the animals and more importantly, he's ALWAYS right and so no matter how long I'd have to wait to see him, I'd wait. Thank you again Dr. Adler!!

I moved into the IE about 2 years ago and I had been looking for a quality and cost effective clinic for my furry companions. I tried a couple local ones but because of the delay in getting an appt or just lack of access to certain equipment I continued to go to my original vet in Hollywood. I was unsuccessful in finding a quick and reliable vet UNTIL I had an emergency with my sweet senior cat. I looked for an urgent care and LA Quality Pet Care had good reviews, seemed very friendly over the phone when I called and were taking walk-ins on a Sunday afternoon. My senior girl had developed an ulcer on her eye while we were away and was clearly in pain. They took her in immediately and provided pain relief and treatment. We returned for a check up a week later and though she had improved it was recommended to remove her eye that day. My cat had been blind the majority of her life so she would not be losing vision just tissue. We agreed and within 3 hours she was back home post surgery. The next day she was practically back to her full self! We returned for a teeth cleaning for my puppy weeks later and that was also a quick and cost effective experience. This is our new go to vet and conveniently within 20 mins of our home.

1/17/26 She is happy again sleeping next to me.

The staff was really friendly and inviting as soon as we entered the facility. I was instantly acknowledged by the receptionist. He informed me that since I was a walk-in, they would assist me as soon as possible after I gave him a brief explanation of what was happening with my dog. They told me to enter the room, so I didn't have to wait long. As I waited, a veterinary technician arrived and questioned me about my dog's symptoms, among other things. About ten minutes later, the veterinarian arrived and examined her in the room. He informed me that she might have pyometra, but further testing was required to be certain. Unfortunately, my dog had to have surgery right away after being diagnosed with pyometra. My dog is everything to me; I've had her for twelve years, since I was eighteen ( I'm 30 now) I would go to any lengths to save her, even if the treatment was costly. After having surgery, fast forward one month later , Roxy is fully recovered. The staff asked me how I was feeling and gave my dog great attention. They were really attentive. Anyone who loves and cares for their dog and wants them to get the best care and attention should visit this place, in my opinion. I want to thank the team once more; words cannot express how much I appreciate them.

Dr. Adler is truly one of a kind. He is an incredible vet, a genuine animal lover, and hands down the best vet in LA area. I trust him 1000% with my babies (Neemo and Ozzy), and that says everything. He's knowledgeable, compassionate, patient, and always goes above and beyond to make sure both pets and pet parents feel cared for. You can tell this isn't just a job for him--it's a calling. I'm so grateful to have found him and wouldn't take my animals anywhere else. Wishing Dr. Adler and his amazing team continued growth and all the best--they deserve it!

I brought my dog for his routine nail trim and it was smooth as usual. I appreciate how quick check in is and how the kind the employees are. The office has upgraded and no longer has a a written paper sign in form, they now have an iPad to sign in. My dog gets nervous and they were so patient with him.

Great staff and they provide quality care for my pets. Had to take my there because he wasn't doing so well and it was time, they were very compassionate and helped me and my family get some closure and see our faithful dog Tuga off to a better place. Including the initial consultation for quality of life, the injections and cremation ran about $500. There might have been somewhere I could've went to get a better deal, but I was happy to find somewhere local to me that could help us out right away and help my dog avoid being in pain any longer.

A Living Nightmare…read more Do not trust this hospital with your pet's life. I am completely shocked by their high rating; my experience here has been an absolute nightmare. Their clinical incompetence and neglect cost my 9yo cat, Miley, precious time that she will never get back. Do not let the high ratings fool you. This clinic is ok for routine checkups and selling cleanings, but they completely lack the clinical competence to handle actual medical issues. They did absolutely no due diligence to investigate my cat's declining condition based on her clear, ongoing symptoms. 1. Misleading Post-Op Guidance & inconsistent medical records Miley was brought in on 5/15 for drooling and underwent dental surgery for tooth resorption on 5/19. Post-surgery, Dr. Lam briefly reviewed X-rays and told me that everything went well. After my request, Dr. Robby spent his time reviewing Miley's blood work and urinalysis, and said she could resume normal activities after three days. After this day, I've never seen Dr. Robby again. The Discrepancy in the Records: I was never told she needed a 10-14 day recheck, nor was I given clear signs of what symptoms to escalate. Yet, when I requested her medical records on 6/15, the clinic had documented that they told me to return for a 10-14 day recheck. This is a deeply concerning inaccuracy in the records and appears to protect the clinic rather than accurately reflect what I was told. 2. Dismissing Ongoing Signs of Decline Miley never returned to normal. She continued to drool, stopped eating well, and was visibly losing weight. I contacted the clinic multiple times (5/20, 5/27, and 6/10), and my concerns were minimized. I was casually reassured that her symptoms were "normal." On 6/10, I sent a video of her physically twisting her jaw while trying to eat. Only then did they tell me to bring her in. 3. Serious Lack of Clinical Judgment At the recheck on 6/11, they took Miley to the back, removed a suture, and confidently claimed this would bring "immediate relief." Because of this medical advice, I held off on pain medication so I could see if she was improving. This visit was a catastrophic failure in patient care: Medically impossible Weight: The medical record listed her weight as 10.6 lbs, the exact same weight as her surgery date weeks prior. Miley was visibly skeletal and much thinner; I do not believe they actually weighed her at all. Zero Diagnostic Thinking: Despite her obvious lethargy, severe weight loss, dehydration risk, and jaw twisting, the vet offered zero deeper discussion, no appetite stimulants, no anti-nausea medication, and no basic skull/jaw X-rays (which do not require anesthesia). 4. Within 36 hours of being sent home with vague reassurances, Miley completely declined: she was dehydrated, barely responsive, and her eyes were unfocused. It was then that I felt a large mass under her chin, which they might have completely missed just a day prior. I rushed her to an ER. ER took her seriously instantly. Within 1 day, they performed bloodwork, an oral exam, and skull/jaw/body X-rays. They immediately put cancer on the table. Miley has now been diagnosed with aggressive, terminal oral cancer. To make matters worse, when I formally reached out via email after the ER visit to demand an explanation, they replied claiming they had "reviewed the records carefully", yet they repeatedly misused Miley's gender throughout the email. This final, careless oversight further discredits everything they claim to do. They fail catastrophically at basic diagnostics, patient care, and attention to detail. The Bottom Line: If they had practiced basic diagnostic investigation instead of dismissing my instincts and minimizing her symptoms, we could have intercepted this weeks earlier to provide timely palliative care. Instead, their pattern of poor communication, lack of urgency, questionable record-keeping, and cold clinical judgment cost us the only thing we had left: quality time. Choosing St. Francis was the worst decision and biggest nightmare of my life.

After waiting for some time, my nerves were frazzled and I ask that she simply dictate what she found, as we did not need visuals. She denied my request and left for 15-20 minutes while trying to figure out how to get the results sent to the correct computer. That wait was horrible as we had absolutely no clue as to what was going on. She finally returned and told us that there was an issue with our dog's spleen and that the surgery would be $8,000 and "probably not worth it." The other options were to take her home and simply wait for natural death, take her home with Chinese herbs that would help death come sooner but not ease the pain, or put her to sleep. At that time I asked my husband to bring our children down to say goodbye. Understand, that morning we left for work with a perfectly healthy (so we thought) 6 year old dog and this decision was absolutely unexpected. After waiting an eternity, the tech came in and administered the medication that caused her breathing to slow and eventually stop. We never saw the doctor after our decision was made. No one offered condolences or their expressed regret that we had such a heavy experience. In fact, though there were signs on two doors that said "please be quite, someone is saying goodbye to a loved one" we walked out with red, swollen faces to staff still cracking jokes behind the desk. It felt surreal. Sometime later a voicemail was left letting me know her remains were ready for pick up. Before I could call back, they placed a second call. Quite frankly, I wasn't ready to take that call knowing what it was about, but I answered. The person on the other end was very matter of fact and ended the conversation saying that if I don't come by the end of the week my dog's remains would "be disposed of." Mind you, this is the first time their office ever talked to me...it isn't like months or even weeks had passed since I was given this information. Additionally, my dog's cremation was a service that I paid several hundreds for. To act like they were doing some favor by holding her 5" x 7" box in their office until I could pick her up was unacceptable and cruel. Over the years I have had many pets that passed and I have never, ever experienced such treatment. I, unfortunately, have to drive by this location daily and every time I do I think back to the poor treatment we experienced from the time we checked in until we picked up our dog's remains. I write this as a word of caution because I would genuinely hate for another pet loving family to ever experience this.
