This place is an absolute dump. Smelly, beat up and worn out, stuff under construction, key cards barely work, my dead bolt is broken. We are on the pet floor and there was a blanket that smelled like dog and a pillow that reeked of dog urine. And people are pounding on the floor above us past 12. If you find bedbugs, they will call the police and escort you off property. We had a 5 day stay at this hotel. We arrived at midnight on the 25th and on the morning of the 27th, I woke up with bumps on my upper back but figured it could be my tight bra straps. By the afternoon, I had visible bug bites on my left arm, stomach, upper back, neck, and breast. We decided to check the bed and sure enough, we found a HUGE bed bug. We took it to the front desk and instantly was greeted by Janet's argumentative attitude telling me it was fleas and my dogs brought them. My dogs are inside dogs and I've never had an issue with fleas. She called the housekeeper. She popped the bedbug right in front us. Sylvia, the housekeeper, was the only professional staff that I encountered. She quickly apologized to us when she confirmed it was a bed bug. Janet who tried to tell me her name was Gianna called her manager to tell her about the bed bugs, how she was so worried for a bad review with her name, and how she was being cussed out when the entire time she was gaslighting us telling us we brought them and I had no bites. We instantly were met with one of the most unprofessional attitudes from her manager. She quickly said to get off the property or she would call the police. We had asked to be moved to another room. She refused. We then asked for a refund, she refused. A few minutes later, police showed up. We were escorted off the property like criminals for bedbugs they have in room 104 who had an adjoining room. The next day I checked my credit card, this unprofessional piece of work charged my credit card for another $300+ because my dog left a "mud stain" on the sheet. Where they not planning to wash the sheets? All these interactions were recorded so they cannot deny their words and behavior. Please do not stay here. Not a huge fan. I had to stay here for a week, working out of town. The breakfast was decent and the peppermints were appreciated, but this is a small, old hotel that looks like it used to be a baptist church or something. You kind of have to drive out to go eat. There's a bar, but not sure if there's a menu. Close to the freeway though, so that's good. The staff was professional at check in, but later I heard them cursing on the phone. If I could give this hotel ZERO stars I would. I've been there a couple times and the same rude, unprofessional employees has made it a miserable experience. The last time I was there I'd made a reservation for a handicapped, street accessible room and since I disagreed with her when she said didn't she was going to turn me and my mother who has Alzheimer's and dementia away. I told her if my mother had to leave she'd need an ambulance. She "gave in" and "allowed" us to stay. My mom was seriously wiped out. That insensitive, (fill in the blank) put us on the second floor. I asked if they maybe had a wheelchair because I wasn't making my moms condition up. Her answer was just "no". So I asked if I could at least have an office chair to roll her in with and with a great big huff she got one. She didn't even act like she would help. The time before that I stayed there she had me waiting for over 20 minutes to check in while she flirted and talked about her awful roommates. Both times I complained to the manager and BOTH times she blew the same smile up my rear by saying she was in the process of training her replacement. She gave me the same story three months apart. Not very happy with this stay. I was told call to possibly check in early so we could swim. Nothing was guaranteed. I called was told to come at 2:15. I come at 2:35 wasn't ready no real big deal as check in isn't technically till 3 so we waited patiently I get it things happen. Now here is the problem we didn't get into our room till AFTER 4:15. They said they were short staffed house keepers. Then the pool/hot tub area had o towels because not enough workers to wash them. The pool was disgusting hasn't been cleaned out was literal pissy chemical water with a film. The "hot tub" was spraying cold water. Then my room was right next to the elevator so every single time someone used the elevator that's what you heard ALL NIGHT LONG so got little to NO sleep! The staff was extremely nice, especially Delila at the front desk. How ever our room smelled horribly of dog urine (they did provide us with air freshener for that...) then there were roaches in the bathroom this morning. Disgusting. We were in room 409. I let the front desk know upon checking out, and they offered us a fifty dollar discount.... While waiting on my receipt the elderly gentleman man and his wife from room 304 were also checking out and he had bug bites (appeared to be bed bugs) all over him. Disgusting. We had friends staying here while visiting up for a special event in our family. They normally utilize La Quinta since there is not an extra fee for pets. The hotel is a little out dated and the maintenance of the hotel needs so much attention. Cracks in the baseboards, poor paint jobs, wallpaper peeling and so much more. We same in the pool one night and it was almost pitch black. I am not sure that is the norm, but I have not idea. Either way, that can not be safe for a pool. The customer service was amazing. They were so helpful and kind. They were very attentive no matter what time of day out was. The location of the hotel is very convenient. There are stores close by, a Walmart and many dining options. read more

We were driving from Iowa to Texas. This was about the half way point. We picked because they welcome dogs. The lady at the front desk was friendly. She had made cookies. The rooms look like they have been updated. The beds were comfortable. The WiFi worked well. The breakfast in the morning was good. The price was good. We would stay here again if back in the area. There is a Walmart near by. Overall a good experience. Worth our money. If you can request a room with even number. The odd numbers are on the highway side. It wasn't bad but I am sure the even number rooms were more quiet. read more

If you want to be treated as a liar and your $100 deposit kept this place is for you! I stayed here to have my grandsons birthday. Both mom and I are smokers, signed the agreement to go outside to smoke SO WE DID!!! Cigarettes are over $8 a pack so I brought back a half of cigarette that I hadn't finished and put it on the dresser for later. Manager MIKE CHRESTMAN insisted this was a violation of the contract but refused to show me where it stated NO CIGARETTE lit or UNLIT is a violation and KEPT my $100 cash deposit and insisted on charging my credit card another $250!!! Of course I immediately put a hold on my card so the assholes only got my $100! Besides this, the rooms are small, towels are mini sized and the pool area is MOLDY!!! Manager is a rude arrogant unseen ass! Wouldn't even confront me in person, did all this hiding in his office over the phone!! read more

I never post reviews, but this place really upset me. When I booked the hotel online, I was told I would be charged for the full stay at the time of booking. When I checked in, I was charged again. The General manager told me they "don't have the mechanics" to get payments prior to check in, unless you are using a third party booking website or whatever. So after sifting through my credit card statement, I realized they only put a prior authorization on my card but it never actually charged my card. Fine. As I'm trying to check in, ALL THREE of my credit cards decline for some reason. So I go get cash and put down a $100 deposit. I sign saying I will not smoke in the room, as you do with all hotels. The stay went alright. The towels are tiny and rough. The front desk employees and housekeepers were not wearing their masks, even though there are signs everywhere saying masks are mandatory. There was dog poop all around the smoking area they provide. There was even a bag of dog poop behind my car in the parking lot. There was trash and cigarette butts everywhere, and the ashtrays were overflowing. The beds were really firm and I didn't sleep to well. There were kids screaming and dogs barking a lot down my hall. I checked out, and tell them my deposit was cash and ask for it back. They go search the room. Here's where it gets spicy. Some time during our stay and our many trips down the stairs to smoke cigarettes OUTSIDE, my mother put out her cigarette out half way and brought it up to the room for later (since cigarettes are so pricey). I guess she forgot about it and left it on the counter in the room. They accused me of smoking in the room and refused to give me my deposit back. They claimed it smelled like smoke and that a half smoked cigarette is proof I smoked in the room. No where does it say not to bring half smoked cigarettes into your room. Lesson learned. I will not be back. And if you want an ehhh alright hotel room for the price of a nice hotel, stay here. If you are a smoker, just make sure you're very careful. It just baffles me that you can allow animals in the room but not a half smoked cigarette that was never lit inside of the building. read more

Absolutely horrible experience! Staff doesn't care weather or not your key works! When we first got there, we asked for a room on the 1st floor, and they gave us a room on the 4th floor. My father has bad knees and it would have been easier for a 1st floor room. Then when we got up to the 4th floor all the of the keys did not work! We went to get a cart to bring our heavy luggage up to the 4th floor and their stupid cards didn't roll right! We kept crashing it into the walls, so ridiculous! The actual rooms themselves were not that bad, AC was very cool and refreshing. We went to the pool later that evening to swim and we could only stay about 15 min cause they had so much chlorine in the pool that just even standing in the water the chlorine was burning our eyes! So, to make the burning stop, we went out the the patio area outside of the pool to let our bodies dry off, and let our eyes dry out from SO much chlorine. We left our stuff on the inside of the pool area but brought our key with us cause we knew the door would lock behind us. When we were done drying off, we tried about 100 times to get the key to work to get back in the pool area and we couldn't. So, off we go to check 4(FOUR!!) other external doors, and NONE of them worked with our key!! We had to walk all they way around to the main entrance in our swimsuits to get back to the pool area! Then when we told the lady at the front desk about the keys not working she said "yeah, the keys have never worked out there!" Seriously!! Their employees don't even freaking care! La Quinta's used to be really nice about 3 years ago but now they are absolute TRASH!! I will never be back to any La Quintas or recommend La Quinta hotels to any of my friends or family! This place gets a star for the amenities and a star for staff. The point of a hotel is to sleep. Literally the worst bed I have ever slept on. Ever. I think blowing up an air mattress and sleeping in a tent would have been preferable. I can't even describe the bed. It was like cardboard. I never care where I sleep so this is a first for me. We stay here at least once a year, sometimes twice while visiting family. Great location with shopping and restaurants conveniently located. Hotel is always clean, quiet and accommodating. Never have a problem. They even give "sack breakfast" since covid prohibits buffet. read more

My sister and I stayed at this motel for one night this week with my four cats. We had two rooms. The place looks new and is so clean. The beds are comfortable and the cats cannot crawl under them. Breakfast is included but it is so so. Scrambled eggs are tasteless. But I liked the staff and motel so much, plus it welcomes pets, I don't care if the breakfast is just mediocre at best. read more

The hotel is modern, clean, and the staff is great. The pool area was very nice and they have a large, well lit parking lot. It's also close to shopping and many restaurants. The ONLY draw back we had is that we had to keep asking for towels for the room and the pool...but that was so minor compared to the great accommodations. I love the couple who own this laquinta as I used to work there for them. I am disappointed in the manager mike they have running this great hotel. my daughter called to have a a birthday party in the kitchenette and use the pool, this party was going to be a mermaid party for my 5yr old granddaughter. so I called the front desk and was told I could rent it sun-Thursday so we decided on a sunday, when I called back to make my reservation I spoke to the manager? mike. my daughter had called him twice with no return phone call, so I spoke to him and was told they could no longer rent those rooms and really didn't want anyone using the pool. I explained it was just a small party with 6 kids and the rest adults. it would have been nice had he called her back with a courtesy call. hes a lousy manager don't return phone calls and obviously his staff don't have a clue about anything. This was NOT a very clean, nice hotel. There was dog feces in the yard all around the hotel. When I told the manager, he said they had staff pick it up everyday. Well . . . the same piles of rotting crap were sitting on the lawn (killing the grass) everyday I was there, 7 days in a row! After using their pool, my eyes were the color of tomatoes and burning like hell. They were extremely red and swollen for days and I had to buy ointment to treat them. Again, when I told the manager, he proceeded to tell me how they keep a very clean pool. There were holes in the furniture in the room, the tv remote barely worked, the a/c was excessively loud, and the fake stucco on the outside of the building was falling off in areas. But here's the kicker . . . . They have bugs in their beds. I started to develop bites on my 5th day there and by the time I left on the 7th I was covered in bites. I told the manager and other staff and their responses were "oh, sorry about that." After I did some research on the CDC's and EPA's websites, I realized I had been bitten by bedbugs. I immediately filed a complaint with La Quintas headquarters, not one single person has returned my call in over 5 days. I spoke with the manager at the hotel again to warn him. He spent the entire time trying to convince me that they don't have bedbugs. When I told the manager I could email him the photos of my bites, he said he didn't need to see them. He said he could refund me one night for now and talk to the owners to see if he could refund my entire bill. I said that was fine for now, but he there was still a lot more to discuss. Well, he then told the La Quintas headquarters that he had "resolved" the problem and he didn't return my call the next day as we had agreed. He is trying very hard to cover this up, which tells me that this is not a one room problem. AVOID this hotel unless you want to potentially deal with bedbugs or scabies or who knows what else. read more
