Sweet little place that is kinda hidden making it all the more special! It's a friendly restaurant with great food. It got great lighting and it's so clean. The authentic tablecloths under plastic are beautiful and will always look that way , as they should be. The food was excellent and John about blew a gasket either way the grilled Jalapeño! I the smarter one, just tried a microgram and was surprised by its heat! Way up there on the Scoville scale!! Anyway this is a delightful authentic Mexican restaurant and we love it!! If you weren't told about this place you'd never find it! An absolutely delicious little hole in the wall that sits below the grain elevator. They have a sizable menu so if I lived here I'd try something different every time. The salsa is to die for. Make sure you order a guacamole for the table, it's out of this world. I ordered the Torta with steak and a Camerone Tostada. (I didn't realize I as ordering two meals). The Torta is massive. The Tostado is like eating ceviche on a fried tortilla which is amazing by the way... we all agreed this place is a gem! read more

Driving into Sioux Center to watch softball game and wanted to grab something to eat before the game. Wow great delicious food. Asada had lots of flavor and tender. Rice and beans were also delicious. Customer service was fast and polite. Definitely recommend this place. read more

I really wanted to get Mexican food after hearing several locals talk about it at a business meeting, and La Rancherita did not disappoint. The carne asada was wonderful and on par with many of my favorite fast/casual taquerias in Chicago. The chips and salsa were good; I wish the salsa was a bit more spicy. However, it's not a good reason to take anything away. I didn't realize until I was done eating that they had other salsas available -- please be aware that asking is how to get them! The staff were friendly and the restaurant is clean. The prices are great. Not sure what more you could ask for! read more

Menus are written on the side of the kitchen truck: Tacos, burritos, quesadillas, gorditas and more, with pork, chicken, beef, chorizo, and some more interesting options like tongue and pork skin! Very affordable, flavorsome, quick, and delivered with love and smiles to the indoor dining space. The food selection was good, lots of authentic food on the menu - but it took way too long to make it. Usually at taquerias you can get your food within 1-3 minutes, but our food took more like 15 minutes. Also there were several pieces of fat and gristle mixed in with the meat that made it unappetizing, which was too bad. It was a little overpriced as well. Not planning on going back. read more
