Most centers are interested in metals that have higher value ie: copper aluminum etc. limits on weight and type are in place to discourage thieves who scavenge illegally. An HVAC or plumbing license will be required for weights exceeding 35 lbs on copper or if you have compressor motors. They have easy in lot parking places and the staff while a bit grungy in appearance are helpful enough. Carts and bins are available for use-it speeds the process if you sort your metal before weigh in. Don't expect the red carpet-it's a salvage operation after all. The nice woman behind the payment window had a nice 357 on her desk and a sign that said " we don't call 911.

You have to deconstruct the cardboard boxes in order to get them in the dumpsters. There is no charge for this and they do have surveillance cameras. Right next to it is the glass recycling. It sits back off the road a bit but pretty easy to access.
