Went today for the second time at this location had 140lbs of #1 copper I always weigh before I…read moretake it to the yard I get there super long line employees are ready to go about half of them are what seem to be nice people other half grumpy and frankly rude to customers so they weigh my copper and have it totaled to 92lbs????? they are so busy i try to bring it up and they send me away I go up to there office to get paid for about 50lbs less than I had whatever it is what it is not going to argue with them and try to get it back I get to the office and the yard lady radios to the clerk that there was number 2 copper in my bin and that all copper would have to be priced at number 2 was already poured in there big bin couldn't resort will not be coming back to these people very shady business practices you can't see there scale they will short you and rush you away 1/10 would not recommend

This is a glass and cardboard recycling center just east of the downtown area located by the city…read moregarages and maintenance area. They have several large dumpsters with slits in the sides. You have to deconstruct the cardboard boxes in order to get them in the dumpsters. There is no charge for this and they do have surveillance cameras. Right next to it is the glass recycling. It sits back off the road a bit but pretty easy to access.

Most centers are interested in metals that have higher value ie: copper aluminum etc. limits on weight and type are in place to discourage thieves who scavenge illegally. An HVAC or plumbing license will be required for weights exceeding 35 lbs on copper or if you have compressor motors. They have easy in lot parking places and the staff while a bit grungy in appearance are helpful enough. Carts and bins are available for use-it speeds the process if you sort your metal before weigh in. Don't expect the red carpet-it's a salvage operation after all. The nice woman behind the payment window had a nice 357 on her desk and a sign that said " we don't call 911.

I actually asked them if there was a charge for me to bring what I had and they said no. I made my way down there I arrived and entered the building, and to a surprising surprise there was some live entertainment!! It caught me off guard, but it was very sweet, and I hope many recyclers get to hear the musical performance I heard Anywhoos! I approached the window and a nice lady explained the order of operations which are to drive up the ramp on to a weigh station to get weighed, proceed into the yard to unload the load, and then drive back out over the weigh station to weigh out, and then check out at the office, but I was like why do I need to check out!!?? I ended up having around 200lbs of metal, and they gave me money for it!! Whaaaaaaat!??! I don't recommend coming on a rainy day unless you're wearing old shoes
