It gets a cheaper rating but I thought the prices were very comparable to the other boulangeries in the neighborhood.Again they had great croissants (I tried them at every boulangerie we visited) and their large macaron "sandwiches" were also delicious (although not my MOST favorite of the ones we tried in Paris). This place was also just a few steps from our apartment so we visited it a lot as well. None of the women that served us during the week spoke English but again, you don't need much in a boulangerie. The service was always friendly and efficient. Often this place was busy but service was quick. No outdoor seating, and they were open until 8pm which was awesome. Later in the day you'll find that pastries and bread are not as fresh but even though we got macaron "sandwiches" at 7pm and they seemed a little damp from the fresh fruit in them, the taste was delicious. The outer shells of the macarons were slightly tough but the overall texture wasn't bad. the berries (we tried frambriose and fraise, or raspberry and strawberry) were incredibly fresh and tasty. I'm sure if we had purchased them earlier in the day they would have been even better. We also had the coffee eclairs and they were amazing!!! I don't care that much for eclairs as I do no like the type of bread used for them, but these were good enough that I'd get them again. The filling was rich and the coffee taste was outstanding.

We were greeted warmly by pleasant staff & the gentleman helping us gave samples of small coconut cookies (I believe they were macaroons.) The prominently-displayed madeleines caught my eye, mainly the raspberry filled (2,70 €) with a bit of jam peeking through, as well as the pistachio flavor (2,20 €) with its unmistakeable green hue. The shell-shaped cakes were sweet & spongy, as to be expected, but not markedly special. A passable pick-me-up while we strolled hilly Montmartre, but after one try, I'm not in a rush to return.

Upon stepping inside, the friendly associate behind the counter generously offered us samples of freshly-baked coconut cookies. I decided to purchase a couple of the coconut cookies as well as pistachio madeleines - one of my favorite flavors. Both tasted incredibly fresh. I couldn't resist getting a bag of the almond cookies for the road, and I later discovered that these tasted just like marzipan candy. While located in a touristy shopping area, Biscuiterie de Montmartre felt charming and stood out for their selection of high-quality cookies and sweets that are perfect for gifting.

Biscuiterie de Montmartre - Absolutely delicious! The only thing I regret is not having purchased more.
