I have been to 3 of their locations. I had a good experience at this airport location. The Marie Antoinette macaroon was delicious. It was 2.50.

Best place to buy your omiyage macarons so that you don't have to lug them around town and keep them refrigerated. A nice gift box (3 different options) filled with 6 macarons of your choice sells for about 15 euro. They also sell other pastries, candles, perfumes, and keychains. If you have an international boarding pass, show it to the cashier and you will not be charged tax.

I've heard good things about this shop. Most of my co-workers stop by here to buy macaroons before flying back to the states. They say that this is the bees knees when it comes to their little cookie sandwiches. There wasn't a big line when I came about the shop so I was delighted I'd get a chance to purchase an assorted box. I think the whole set came out to be €30 not bad... right around €2/cookie. Anyways, I bought it, had it bagged and brung it back to Detroit. We busted the box open and proceeded to do taste testing. There's a folded guide in the back with the flavors of what might you be tasting. I only say that because the flavors don't come with pictures so you'd know exactly which one your sinking your teeth on. There wasn't one that we didn't like, every single cookie is absolutely the cats whiskers. There is truly none higher. I've enjoyed the box of macaroons you've sold me. Next time I'm back around and there isn't an atrocious line, I will purchase another box from you. Thank you so much for reading my review.

As always, Laduree never disappoints. The macarons are delicious, fresh, and simply aromatic. Most places, especially in America, tend to make the macaron too sweet and the cream too thick and hard. But somehow, Laduree always manages to find the right balance in taste and texure so that the cookie just melts in your mouth. My personal favorite flavors are Rose and Pistachio, but if you want to try something more adventurous then also get a licorice. The Licorice is surprisingly good (I only eat licorice in Laduree form) and does not taste like the typical licorice flavor you find in candy. Overall, absolutely delicious and a must have for anyone in Paris! Also, super convenient that they have a stand in the airport. As for pricing, You can purchase the macarons individually for about 1.9 a piece, or you can purchase the more expensive gift boxes, where the 6-macaron box ends up being around 17.

My sister and I ordered a box of 16 macaroons each. The macaroons were beyond amazing. It's the best I have ever had. The only con about this place is that the service is very slow. They take their time giving you your order. We both told the lady that we wanted to pay together and the lady working their completely ignored us. She made us each pay separately.

My favourite shop for macarons in the world. The salted caramel macaron is heavenly as are many of the other flavours. No visit to Paris is complete for me without a visit to this Paris institution. That's all !!!!

There are many shops at CDG but one that is a family favorite is Laduree. Whenever I fly to CDG and I am on my way home to the US, I try to buy a box of macrons. Lots of flavors to choose from at the 'kiosk' or shop. They put them in a nice box which survives the 10+ hours back to the U.S. When I get home, everyone is happy.

My favorite macarons for sure. I flight through Paris at least 8 times a year and this place is my go to for gifts. I always buy 12 macarons for y family and friends. The store is small, and doesn't have a place to sit, but you can go next door to eat your macarons. You should know, that they have regular boxes or sachets that will make the macarons cheaper. Of course the limited edition boxes are more impressive and strong. There's often a line, but I never waited more than 5 minutes.

I was told from my roommate who is from France that these macarons are the absolute best and they really are. My favorite flavors are raspberry, pistachio, and vanilla. I also tried Marie-Antoinette tea, passion fruit chocolate, and cherry blossom, but I wasn't a big fan of them. I saw that they also sell champagne! Hopefully I get to come back to Paris and try the macarons with the champagne one day!

    Pretty display of the goodies!

My husband insisted I get some macarons since they are one of the most famous places in Paris. 1.99 euro with your boarding pass a piece and although these are refilled by macarons coming out of plastic sleeves, they were damn delicious! Rose petal and salted caramel were so good! Marie Antoinette while pretty (blue!), was not as good, but it was described as black tea based. I'd say pass on that flavor. Good for buying for long plane trips back to the US!

If you're passing through CDG on a layover, this is a great place to pick up a macaron or a few to take back home, because these macarons are better than most of the places that we have in the States, and even though €2 per macaron seems expensive, it's actually par for the course. I've paid more for worse macarons at other places elsewhere. If you're landing in Paris and heading into downtown Paris, skip Lauduree, and go to Pierre Hermes while you're in the city, You'll thank me later - I think Pierre Hermes are the best ones I've had in the world, with Lauduree coming in second. Maybe I just need to eat more macarons in general so that I have a good base for comparison. At any rate, the macarons are still great, and they have a kiosk with one worker and a larger storefront with more people working. The kiosk is a bit slow to order, so be prepared to wait. For fellow patrons, please decide what flavors you want ahead of time so that you don't order a dozen macarons painstakingly, one flavor at a time. They have a decent amount of flavors, maybe 12 or so, and I tried the lime coconut which was super unique and different. I liked it a lot but wouldn't want to eat more than one. My boyfriend got the salted caramel which was delicious and I'd definitely get this over and over. The macarons are fresh, they look perfect, and the outside is crisp on the outside and soft inside, as it should be. If you show your boarding pass and passport, you don't have to pay tax, so that's nice. Note that if you take these home, be careful because they smash easily. You may want to pay a little more for the box that is hard instead of trying to carry them away in a bag. Worth a stop for a quick pick-me-up in the airport during a layover.

Delicious, delicious macarons, no matter where you are! I got 4 macarons to go at the airport, and I'm so glad I actually got to eat Laduree in Paris. I thought their pineapple and salted caramel were the best- amazingly delicious. So chewy and flavorful inside. Their pistachio and lemon were pretty good too. Perfectly light and crispy on the outside, with a nice chew in the middle, and delicious, flavorful filling in the middle. At least try it if you're in the area!

Whenever I am in the Paris airport, it is an obligatory stop. This macaroon shop is located conveniently inside the airport with the quintessential elegant Parisian packaging. Even in Charles de Gaulle extremely busy terminal, it is a nice travel break. To be transparent, macaroons are not my first dessert choice. Laduréevis in a macaroon league of its own...soft blue green base colors, delicate gold font accents, rows of perfectly arranged macarons. Each one had that signature texture ...a delicate shell with a soft, creamy center. The history... Ladurée was founded in 1862 by Louis-Ernest Ladurée and evolved into one of the first Parisian tea salons. The now-famous Ladurée macaron didn't appear until decades later, when Pierre Desfontaines, a descendant of the founder, created the modern version... two delicate shells filled with ganache. From that point forward, Ladurée became synonymous with elegance, indulgence, and being distinctly Parisian. Today, it sells thousands of macarons daily and has locations worldwide. The ladies at the macaroon shop have a system of service. One person takes your order, another selects your macaroons and the third person packages the macaroons. It is important to note that, while Ladurée is the most delicious macaroon I have ever tasted, they are expensive. So, it will be a splurge. Of the two, Pierra Hermé swings toward larger with a more ambitious flavor lineup. The eponymous pastry chef opened his first shop in 1998 in Tokyo, followed by a store in the Saint-Germain-des-Prés. district in 2001. Since then, Herme has been hailed as "the Picasso of Pastry" by Vogue, and he even garnered the title of World's Best Pastry Chef in 2016 from The World's 50 Best Restaurants. Nowadays, there are plenty of locations across the world. I first visited the outpost in Saint-Germain-des-Prés. Wooden tables and woven chairs are nestled up to the matte black storefront. The warm oversized bulb lighting, red-toned patterns, and mosaic floor feel very 70s. The L-shaped display counter is decorated with pastries, macarons, and prepackaged sweets. Upbeat instrumental plays unobtrusively. During our early morning arrival, I was surprised to find that traffic caused the pastry truck to run late -- a common occurrence, per the barista. Undeterred, our party opted for the Chocolat Chaud Viennois infermin Chocolad, a cappuccino, and a sampling of macarons. The hot chocolate was divinely rich and intensely dark chocolate-y without tasting too bitter. The cold foam on top added a pleasant creaminess. Meanwhile, the cappuccino was smooth, milky, and light, with a strong coffee flavor. Across the large, Italian-style macarons, I was impressed by the excellent, melt-in-your-mouth texture. Our collective favorite was the rose-forward Istaphan, which gradually evolved in flavors of raspberry and lychee. We also enjoyed the nutty Cafe, although it tasted heavy on vanilla and milkiness. Only the Jardin de Cassandre didn't do it for us; it wasn't particularly flavorful, and the minimal hint of blackcurrant outweighed any semblance of rhubarb. Service was friendly enough, but the fare was notably expensive; our "meal" set us back nearly $30. While the hot chocolate was a winner, the highly touted macarons were hit or miss. While you may still be tempted to pay a visit to this reputable shop, I can't call it a must-try Parisian patisserie.

The manager asked if there were any groups of three available and luckily we were able to get a table quicker than we thought! We were seated outside at a very small table. The tables are very close together and it is extremely hard to move around the chairs, etc. the interior is a little less tight, but nonetheless it is still a little chaotic to go about. Service was good and our food came out within about 10-15 minutes of ordering. I loved the classic Parisian atmosphere and really enjoyed being outside. We ended up ordering their famous hot chocolate and creme, the strawberries & creme, coffees, and a croissant. The prices here are a little steep considering what you are getting. But I definitely think it's an experience and the price reflects that. The hot chocolate was extremely rich and luscious--like nothing I've had before. It was almost reminiscent is drinking straight chocolate sauce. The fresh creme that accompanied it was delightful and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I tried one of my friends strawberries and thought they were extremely fresh, but not necessarily worth the price. Cappuccino was pretty standard, but I enjoyed it. The croissant probably isn't the best in the city, but it was flaky and buttery, with lots of layers (exactly how it should be). Overall, I was happy I got to experience dining at Carette! We only waited about 30 minutes for a table and I think it was worth it. While I don't think it is life changing, I do think it is definitely worth trying and a fun experience. I enjoyed the creme that it came with just as much as the drink itself, if not more. Service was good and they ran a tight ship. If I were to go to Paris again, I wouldn't go out of my way to come here again. But if it is your first time in the city or you haven't been, I would recommend!

But if you haven't, this is a strong contender for worthy macarons in Paris and at a convenient location across the street from Ladurée. Located inside L'Occitane in the most gorgeous floor space ever, you will find Pierre Hermé at the center of it all. They have an impressive array of flavors that were much more unique than other patisseries. I definitely asked for a few recommendations as well since I tend to order the same thing (pistachio, raspberry, lemon, etc.) The workers were very kind. They indulged my request to converse in French and corrected me in a respectful and endearing way (I know some people get upset at this idea but I personally prefer it.) I had ordered a dozen macarons but truthfully would've ordered the entire lot if I wasn't alone and especially if I wasn't already taking a ton of sweets back for my flight home. I am a Ladurée purist and what I can say is that Pierre Hermé definitely had the best and most unique flavors compared to the two. The prices are fairly comparable and the coffrets are just as tasteful. Both are strong contenders and worthy of your money. I certainly will be returning and look forward to trying the rest of their selection. (15/50--2025)

The line looks pretty intimidating, but it moves quite quickly, and there are so many flavors that it'll probably be helpful to have a bit of extra time to review the menu. My friend and I split a pack of four macarons, including their seasonal isapahan (rose, lychee, raspberry), infiniment praliné pistache, and a jardin de cassandre (red currant, rhubarb). The macarons were delightful. I loved the two seasonal items; they were delightfully fruity and slightly floral, and I loved the slightly tangy flavor from the raspberry in the isapahan and rhubarb / currants in the jardin de cassandre. The praliné pistache was nice and nutty, and the inner cream offered a great additional richness. It's usually super crowded so seating tends to be quite limited. My friend and I ended up taking our macarons to go and enjoyed them elsewhere as we toured Champs Elysée.
