But service was good and the servers asked if I needed anything extra and also checked up on me. The lake is quite pretty even though I went during the winter time. Not that many tourist as what I expected but maybe because I went during off season. I loved this small little place with a few things but the lake was marvelous especially when the sun was setting. The pictures didnt do this place justice- it is one of the most quaint restaurants I have ever been in- only 6 tables and it feels like you're eating in a family dining room rather than a restaurant, which was really relaxing. After 8 years in Germany, I think I can safely say the quality of food was VERY good and authentically German. After eating at a few places in Freiburg I would have to say this place had the best prices especially for the quality! I highly recommend the Chocolate Mousse for dessert - it was amazing.

We came upon this place purely by accident, but what a most wonderful experience. The sweet young…read morelady who greeted us, and showed us our room, to the wonderful meals we had. Everyone was super kind and very accommodating. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The food was out of this world wonderful. An all around amazing experience. We felt so very lucky to have been able to stay here and enjoy the surroundings and the amazing hospitality and incredible food and friendship. Thanks guys! Wishing you the best germany
