I loved the gigante beans the best but it also had zucchini, eggplant, mushrooms, shrimp, sundried tomato, artichoke, roasted red pepper, and lots of olives. I ordered a pizza half with arugula and half with mushrooms. They put a lot of arugula which was very tasty because they seasoned it. Although I prefer it plain, it was still good. The mushroom half was perfect. My friend had a pasta dish with broccoli and sausage . The sausage was more German than Italian but he liked it and ate it all. The service was very slow because they seemed to be shorthanded. There was only one waiter and one busboy for the whole restaurant.

The owner sat me and I was immediately greeted by a server. Everyone speaks English, German and their main language, Italian. I wanted pasta and some pizza and ordered both. The server suggested a smaller plate of pasta because the pizzas were larger than a personal size. The pasta came, perfectly al dente and what an amazing flavor. You don't always find spaghetti Agio e Olio and when you do, this is how it is supposed to taste and feel..... noodles perfect and not too oily. The shaved garlic was fantastic and the slices of chile added a bit of additional heat but not overly spicy, but flavorful. Like in Italy, if you are not in a hurry. It's the best way to eat, a casual meal without anyone pushing me out. They allowed me time to enjoy the pasta and ample time for the next course to come, the great pizza. I couldn't finish it and normally when traveling, I wouldn't take the leftovers. However, I couldn't help myself and has to take it for a snack for later after I come home from the Oktoberfest needing a bite. Even though the servers didn't bother me, they were always there and available and ready to happily serve whatever request you have. The owner is always walking around, working, and most importantly, talking to his patrons. He reminds me of my good Italian friend who owns an Italian restaurant where I regularly hang out to talk, eat, drink, and just be amongst friends; they make sure to see how the food looks that comes out and they also care and make you feel like family. This is definitely one of the best Italian restaurants I've been to and it will be on my list of places to come back to eat lunch or dinner whenever I am in Munich and want something different than the good and wholesome German food that is everywhere.

A lot of classics, the chef/owner is a German who worked in Rome for a while. The staff is great, friendly and laid back, but very professional. The arugula Salad was large and had a fresh, light, citrus dressing, the antipasti plate was delicious. one of us had a swordfish carpaccio and one of us tried an interesting risotto with cabbage. The Arabbiata was perfectly spicy. Certainly everything was a cut above the usual Italian place in Munich. We didn't try desserts, but had some great wines at very reasonable prices. We have been in once or twice for a drink at their bar and are looking forward to the Terrace in spring. There is also a short take out menu we've used sometimes later in the evening.
