My partner and I shared the "Amalfi" tasting platter which included Truffle cream, butter, sauce, honey, balsamic, salami and cheese and all of it was incredible. The olives - Tonde Di Spagna - were beyond delicious. I'm not usually a fan of olives but these were full of flavor, light to bite and easy to enjoy. The gent working the counter was friendly, helpful and took the time to explain the fish and the olives. As Norbert mentions, this is a fourth-generation business. The shop is small, near Porta Capuana -- the old city gate.  This shop is 4th generation family owned, and the owner was happy to share product information with us and answer questions. Learning the difference between Baccala and Stucco (stockfish) was great.

That being said we were given a demonstration on how to make two types of fresh cheese by a woman that only spoke Italian. (See photo) Then we were feed a pretty hefty lunch which included cheese and cured meats, pasta, dessert and wine. I would have loved to enjoy the wine but it was so HOT under the greenhouse covering. We then got a tour of the olive oil farm and machinery and lemon groves. Again, very informative but just so hot. Finally was a trip to the store to buy the farm's bottles limoncello and olive oil. Complete with tasting and other souvenirs. Overall very good TOURIST attraction. It's not their fault that the setting was so forced and the weather was awful. It would be wonderful to come back on my own to browse and do things more on my own time.

While on a tour of Ravello we stopped into this charming little olive oil shop. We like good olive…read moreoil and often stop by Eataly in San Jose to buy Italian olive oils. One I tend to buy often is Barbera. It's an organic oil that offers good bang for the buck. The gentleman that helped us was very friendly and knowledgable and we ended up tasting about 5 different olive oils, some on pieces of bread and some by themselves on a spoon. Everything we tasted was very good but we settled on a Sicilian olive oil and a bottle of Villa San Cosma balsamic. If you like good olive oil and balsamic like we do, this place will be like heaven for you.

Wonderful family owned deli store in beautiful Positano. Sad to report they no longer sell…read moresandwiches, due to the store being super popular due to the TripAdvisor crowd constantly rolling through. Instead, they have shifted to providing cooking classes while also maintaining an excellent well stocked deli. We were able to scoop up drinks, cheese, crackers and meats for a takeaway charcuterie board. Had a nice conversation with the friendly owner too- really an excellent family run and fully stocked store. Would gladly stop by again the next time we are in Posi.

We had so many sit-down dinners we just wanted something to eat next to the water. The man behind the counter is super-friendly and a real joy to talk to. We discussed how to say eggplant in many different languages. We had his lasagna, canneloni (cheese and spinach) and the meatballs. All were excellent and tasted home-made which they appeared to be since what appeared to be his mom was behind him helping out. Meatballs were absolutely delicious. Great flavor. Either way, this place is such a find. Get something to go, Chat up the owner and you'll have yourself a real Italian experience.
