Champagne fondue with truffle and rosti with chopped veal & mushrooms
    Rick C.

Stayed at the hotel, so tried out the restaurant the first night. Very good! Food was great, service was great. We had the champagne fondue with truffle and the rosti with chopped veal & mushrooms. So we went back the next night (convenient), had the grilled lamb and pappardelle with black truffle. Wife liked the lamb and mine was amazing.

We stopped in one of the shops and they recommended La Stalla for dinner for great authentic food. The menu is Swiss and Italian inspired and so good!! I did the veal and potato cake dish and my husband had the buckwheat pasta. Everything was fantastic from the incredibly nice service, to the ambiance and food. We are only here for one night, otherwise we would absolutely be back. Pro Tip: the house red is surprisingly fantastic! A little bold, but light and fruity!

Authentic Old world atmosphere with fresh local dishes a thin crust pizza. Very accommodating and crowd is lively and casual. Service can be a bit slow due to the high demand.

Moldy bread served with our fondue

Avoid!!! Stopped for a small lunch. We ordered the St. Moritz cheese fondue and it was served with moldy bread. The pieces that weren't moldy were rock hard. The servers did not say a word when they saw the moldy bread and we didn't think it was worth it to complain. Spent 60 CHF and ate almost nothing.

Got in late, tired and hungry. This place was nearby. We were promptly greeted and seated. We split a salami pizza which was very good. My wife asked for a side salad. It was all greens. No other mixed veggies, so you might want to clarify if you more than greens. Very friendly staff.

The line both days was an hour wait but it is so worth it and the view in line makes it go by faster. The bread with the wonderful butter olive oil blend was incredible the butter olive oil was perfectly salted and very creamy the bread was fresh and had a wonderful taste. We ordered the meatballs for our starter the first time and it was incredible one of the best meatballs i've had. The truffle fettuccine alfredo was very delicious the pasta was cooked to perfection and the sauce was so good you could drink it. The sedanini 3 tomato pasta had a very good flavor profile and tasted very fresh. The carbonara was also extremely good and had guanciale which added the most perfect saltiness. The tiramisu was also very good i enjoyed that the coffee used was not caffeinated so we were all able to sleep that night. The second time we went i had to step out to attend a meeting via zoom and took my food to go. The owner was extremely nice and accommodating and offered to pack up some of the delicious tomato cucumber salad my parents had left for me. The hospitality in this restaurant is next level everyone is extremely nice and welcoming.

Food was fantastic. Homemade pasta. Ambiance great. Service great. There was a long line everyday.read more

Veal was good but nothing special about it. It's easy to find same quality plates somewhere else. Sole, was overcooked. How do I know? I hade to use my knife to cut through the fish. Service: average at best. However, table next to us got lot of attention from the manager/ owner. Maybe the size of your order determines the amount of attention you get! Also, we wanted to sit inside, but were told that all tables were reserved for 1:30pm. 1:30 came and no one showed up. 2:00 came and there still empty tables inside. So, that's my impression of the place. We expected more. Would I go back? Nope, but you make your own choice.

Thankfully they sat us even though we were not properly dressed. Service was excellent. Cozy, warm ambience inside - some outdoor seating with heaters. Good wine selection; greens were fresh for the salad & the truffle angel hair pasta was good. Needed some parm for additional flavor. We were both disappointed in the quality of the steak, particularly at the price for the largest piece. Very sinewy - not a good cut of meat. However - good flavor - was cut tableside and served with mashed potatoes & vegetables.

Very nice ambiance with chandeliers, and other glitzy décor in the surroundings. Took a stroll for the CHF 13 small salad bar, which came on an 8" plate. Piled on lettuce, tomatoes, corn, bits of boiled egg, diced raw onions, and sliced sausage, covered with house dressing. Unlike US salad bars, you only get one plate and one pass through the European salad bars. Wife's CHF 39 Wiernersnitzel was veal coated with bread crumbs, French fries and broccoli. Well presented and a good portion of meat, although very thin. French fries were thin and tasty, with minimal amount of salt, just the way I liked them. My CHF 40 fried medium sliced beef came with potatoes and broccoli, and bernese sauce, a yellow buttery sauce. Would have preferred good old fashioned beef gravy. The beef was undercooked, and more on the rare side. Gave all the rare portions to the wife, and ate some of her dish. Our last and most expensive meal in Switzerland. Very elegant restaurant, but I was dressed in T-shirt, shorts, and sandals, and was not tossed out of the restaurant, as temperatures in mid 80s outside.

Bolognese was a meat sauce which was quite dry and flavourless, not tomato based like bolognese normally is but a brown meat sauce. Veal picata was 44CHF, 2 small pieces of veal covered in a thick fried egg coating and butter pan juice which stank of burnt egg, served with a average tomato sauce and dry spaghetti. Perhaps summertime is not the time to visit. I would not recommend the food. Service was good
