As their menu is quite extensive, we decided to order one of their prix fixe menus: Menu du Sillon, so we didn't take up too much of the waiter's time. I ordered the fish soup appetizer (rockfish) which as quite tasty. The Dover sole was my main course and it was excellent! They removed the head, skin and bones and plated it at the table. Crème brûlée was a must for dessert. My table mate had the cheese platter for dessert and they brought a hug assortment of cheeses on it and gave him his choice of cheeses. He took one of each. Already situated in a lovely French town, La Courtine is a must visit- the food is exceptional and presented a-la Michelin (but think larger portions). My duck, and my partner's pork rib mains, were both cooked to perfection, the starters were divine and the desserts were delicious. As expected, the wine list has a very good selection, too. Although our French is just about good enough to translate the menu, a couple of things were a little tricky, but the owner spoke English and helped us out with some of the words we didn't understand. Service was impeccable, with food arriving extremely quickly (but not in a scary pre-prepared way). They have very very reasonable lunch menus as well as a three course dinner menu for only 23 euros- a really good price for what you get, and a chance to eat at a top class restaurant for wallet-friendly prices. I recommend getting there shortly after 7:00pm (19:00) because the restaurant fills up quickly after 8:00pm (20:00). If you go to have one good dinner in Dinan, you need to go here.
