Very nice, very elegant, with a definite nod to old world Italia. The architecture brings a smile to my face: a lot of work went into the details here. I mean, seriously, take a look! The view of the street might not seem so special, but I do like the floor-to-ceiling windows. I wish I could give a more in-depth review, but we only stopped here for drinks and dessert. We ordered the Caffe Gustoso, which came with chocolate truffles, a rich cup of coffee, and what was called a "mini-tiramisu". A proper tiramisu has lady finger cookies, which this didn't have: it's really more of a pudding. But, it's quite nice all the same. The flavors are certainly there. The truffles are little bombs of fudge: you will need a whole cup of coffee to wash each one down, since they're so rich. But, I do like the fact that it's not too sweet. The service was very friendly and attentive, which is always a good thing. I do want to return for a proper meal. read more

We hit this place up for a quick meal before walking around the town. It was conveniently located across from our hotel, so it was handy since it was raining. We were greeted immediately and escorted to a table by large windows. A waiter quickly took our drink order. FYI, the only iced tea they offer is bottled. Booo! I chose a Coke Zero instead and was pleasantly surprised when the waiter brought out a glass of ice and a bottle of Coke! The best tasting Coke is from a glass bottle- trust me if you have never tried it! They do not offer a bread basket as a free appetizer like most Italian restaurants. They did bring a little plate of green olives, which were really good, to my surprise. There were only a few dish options that were vegetarian, so I opted for the 4 Formaggi, basically Alfredo. It was ok, but I would not order it again. It was unbelievably rich so I could not eat much of it. Prices are pretty standard for Europe, with dishes costing between 15 to 20 EUROS. I would not pay that much for it here in America. So, if you are in a pinch, this restaurant is acceptable. Otherwise, look elsewhere. Pretty forgettable. read more

When in town for the IAA, my colleague and I decided to branch out from the fast food options in the area and have a sit down lunch. We were not expecting gourmet Italian food--just something filling, tasty, and comforting. When we first arrived I wasn't impressed: we sat at a booth near the window and discovered that underneath the menus there was not only an earwig insect (ok, that could have been brought in on someone's jacket), but a giant red wine stain on the spill cloth under the beige tablecloth, and some crusty stains besides. The waitress took our drink order and then promptly forgot, but fifteen minutes later we managed to wrangle her colleague, who assured a speedy service thereafter. I had the macaroni alla Norma (though they brought me penne pasta instead, perfectly al dente), which was good but not incredible. It was topped with what they called tomato jam, which was a sugary, cinnamon-y tomato jelly that did not mix well with the rest of the sauce, so I left much of it untouched. My colleague fully appreciated her copious creamy prawn and mushroom risotto, but she did note that the prices were a little askew--a medium bottle of still water was 6.50€! read more

Was OK I thought. Nice place on this inside just steps from the Messe so they get much of the trade fair crowds. The little plate of olives that came first were real good. I started with a steak tartar which was excellent. Then had the ravioli with the rustico sauce which was tomatoes and olives. It tasted decent but the ravioli was under cooked in my opinion and very chewy. Didn't finish it. Service was very good. read more

Love here. Not expensive, but nice mood and good meals. Especially the olive for appetizer is so tasty. Lasagnas are so great but I recommend first one on the menu if you are Korean. You can find similar taste as your hometown:) I've been here for several times and pastas made me satisfied every time. Pizzas too, but Hawaiian style is the best in which I've tried. And the drinks, always my choice be maracuja juice! It reminds me cebu! read more

It's a roller coaster ride with this restaurant. And not in a good way. Ugh! Initially, I didn't want to go here because of the bad reviews. But this week, my husband wanted to take us for dinner and asked me to pick between Vapiano and La Tagliatella, so I thought 'What the heck - let's try it!' and we went to the latter. Our dining experience started off nice. The restaurant was almost empty, so we could choose any table we wanted. The waitress was really friendly and quick - I have no complaints about the service. After studying the menu, we decided on Focaccia La Tagliatella (focaccia stripes with onions, tomatoes and olives) as an appetizer. For mains, our 5-year old asked for Penne Bolognese (kids size), my husband opted for the Tagliatelle Peperoncino e gamberi (tagliatelle with shrimps, hot peppers and olive oil) and I went for a Pizza Capricciosa (tuna, mushrooms, mozzarella, spinach). First we received a small bowl of complimentary small green olives. I have no idea what kind they were, but I found them extremely delicious. Our focaccia appetizer appeared quickly and was followed just a few minutes later by the main order. Everything was nicely presented. The focaccia was quite tasty. The stripes with the olives were my favorite. My pizza took me a bit by surprise because of its size. It was a lot larger than the plate. The dough was super thin - it definitely reminded me of the pizza we ate in Rome in 2013. It was lacking the stone brick pizza oven taste - but it was still quite enjoyable since they did not skimp on the toppings and I had parmesan cheese at hand to enhance things. My son's kid-size penne looked quite appealing as well. For my taste, it could have used a few more spices, especially garlic, but it was nonetheless a tasty sight. Now my husband's tagliatelle looked initially so great that I was tempted to regret my pizza choice for a moment. The pasta was cooked al dente and the hot peppers gave things a little kick without being overwhelming. Having that said though I have also to admit that I found the taste of the shrimps to be quite fishy. Not yucky... but they tasted off. I mentioned that to my husband, but he was not sure if he tasted the same thing so we let it go. Shortly later, things went downhill. Initially, we finished our meal in good spirits and left happy. A couple of hours later, I noticed that my husband had become very quiet. Thinking we all were just tired, we went to bed. The next morning, he asked me for tea and told me that he had spent half the night awake with an upset stomach suffering from some case of food poisoning. After 2 more days of this and feeling queasy, he was OK again - but this is affecting my rating of La Tagliatella, of course. I think, if you stick to the vegetarian dishes, you will probably OK health-wise - you just will still have to pay the mall-inflated prices - but we feel somewhat disappointed in our experience at this restaurant and I doubt that we will return. read more

If you allow reservations on open table then you should honor them. There is no room for excuses for this. The hospitality was extremely rude from start to finish. The weather had already made for a rather miserable day and this was supposed to be a great respite and was highly recommended. Instead it just furthered the day's frustrations as we waited well past our reservation time. The food was okay at best but I've been to Germany many times both in the military and on business and have definitely had better. Maybe it was our fault for trying to have Italian in Germany. read more

We loved it! The pasta was delicious, it tasted incredibly fresh and flavorful. The sauces they offered all sounded great, I wish we had more opportunities to eat here. The service was also wonderful, our waitress spoke great English and didn't roll her eyes at my terrible German. :) Next time we are in Frankfurt I might have to come back to try something new! read more
