    Diavola Pizza

Stopped in for a quick bite to eat while enjoying the city and the pizza was amazing! Best pizza we have had while in Pisa!

Great food at reasonable prices. Although better known for its pizza, they do offer a €10 menu of the day during lunch hours. Try their house red wine too, it's from local Tuscan wineries.

We are staying a few blocks away and had a late night craving for food. We looked up open places at 10:15pm nearby and La Taverna de Pulcinella popped up. We decided to make the 3 minute walk assuming we were going to find some touristy fast food place. When we walked up we were greeted very politely and asked to wait a couple of minutes because they were packed and needed to close out a table. Seeing how busy with locals it was, we were more than happy to wait. Once we were seated we looked at the extensive menu (offered in Italian and English) and were shocked. Between optional cheese/tomato sauce pizzas, to French fries or nutella pizzas, to double decker pizzas, we didn't even know where to start. My husband opted for the Capricciosa pizza and as a vegetarian I opted for the parmigiana (tomato sauce, mozzarella, eggplant, parmesan). They came out with the yummy 1/2 liter of house red wine and pizzas and I was blown away. Each pizza was the size of a medium pizza American style, and thin crust. Once we took our first bite we almost wanted to tell them they were under charging for their food because 6.50€ a pizza that size/quality was just wrong. The pizza was so good, we made sure to get them to-go so we can have cold pizza for breakfast tomorrow. Plus, the service was awesome!! The servers and cooks were all very attentive, friendly and made us feel welcome despite our clear American tourist background. Definitely recommend and will come back again.

Been here a couple times and the pizza has never been disappointing. Finding a traditional pizza place that more than 3 toppings is a big deal in Italy. I really like this place which has quite a few options. During weekdays u also find fixed lunch menu with primo n secendo. Do try this place

It was fine - waiter a bit snippy and servings a bit smaller but food was fine - place was crowded but it was Saturday night

Between the three of us we shared two pizzas - the margherita, and the proscuitto e funghi. Both were delicious, but I tend to like more toppings on my pizzas so I enjoyed the proscuitto e funghi one more. The crust was really light and chewy, but also thin enough to hold all the sauce and toppings. They were also quite giant! We also tried the limoncello spritz, but that wasn't our favorite. Overall, a great spot!

We ended up trying the two pizza listed as "popular/suggested". These are my thoughts. Rivistato - What a unique pizza. There is a lot going on and it's folded in half. I thought it was good but they put in this veggie that was bitter which was a tad offsetting for my taste. It's unique, I prob wouldn't get it again but it was different! (3.5/5) Margherita Al Contrario - Went for a simple classic and this was delicious. It's different than the pizza in America and overall enjoyed it. (4.5/5) Overall an enjoyable spot for pizza. Note... the pizza are pretty big and we got two pizza for two people. Tons of leftover for us. We ended up spending 35 euro for two pizza. They gave us a small discount for paying in cash!
