The entire experience felt like being at a chic and fun dinner party: food (nothing we had was great but everything was very good), decor (charming but contemporary), ambiance (retractable roof), location (view of the port and ocean), and service (warm, classy, and professional). The menu is elevated regional French/Nicoise classics with local ingredients. Attractive small bar as well. I would highly recommend Chez Jean Robert to anyone visiting St. Tropez. Truly a world class restaurant and an inspiring find.

We finally found the place by asking locals in the area. There are a lot of stairs required to reach the restaurant so it's definitely not accessible or stroller friendly, however we decided to lug the stroller up so we could enjoy the meal. Once we finally found the place, it definitely did not disappoint. The food was stellar, as was the view and atmosphere. I had scallops and my husband had the fillet of beef. Our server, Caroline, was outstanding and super accommodating! One of the reviewers commented on portion size - I'd say the portion size was too small for me. I ended up getting having another dinner on the resort later that evening. P.S. Yelp rated this place $$, but I'd rated it pricier than that. A pop alone was 5 euros!
