Set aside the reasons why one may want tint on their car. A review of a tint job is all about execution. I reached out to LA Tint of Manassas via Yelp messaging and they were quick to respond; all the tint selections and scheduling were made online, simple and easy. I had all windows of my vehicle tinted with their Pinnacle series tint (ceramic tint) for that extra UV/IR radiation rejection - nobody wants to get sunburned in their vehicle, unless you are a lobster (at which point you are already red). Anyways, the installation was pretty quick, about an hour for the whole vehicle. I picked up my vehicle later in the afternoon and noticed a few bubbles and small spots where there were some air pockets. Having had previous vehicles tinted and being a detail-oriented guy, I scoured every window for any imperfections. Most of the windows were perfect, except for my driver side front window and the two rear-panel windows in the trunk of the suv. Even then, most of the bubbles went away after a few days (just as they said they would). However, there were a few spots where there were some dust/debris trapped between the window and the tint. Having paid a decent amount of $ for my fresh tint, I knew I had to go back and request a second look. LA Tint took care of the issue and replaced the tint on all of the windows that I noticed some imperfections. I must admit, it's hard to get every single speck of debris off windows, and so it is somewhat of a false expectation for every single window tinted to be perfect. But that is what I would hope for in my tint, and from my perspective they do try and strive for it. While it was indeed unfortunate that I had to go back for a second time to re-do the few windows that I had issues with, they were accommodating and did not just shrug off my complaints. I have to give them props for standing by their work and taking ownership of their work. They could have easily denied re-doing one of my windows as there were just a few specks, but admittedly it was my driver window that had the issue - the window I would be looking out of the most. Went in to get my tints done yesterday, we were in and out within an hour. The only downside is, I thought that the 15% tints would be a little darker. We got 35% in the front and 15% on the back. It's looks amazing don't get me wrong but the 15% kind of looks like 20/25% Also, I took a closer look at my tints and found small scratches in the driver side window... Not acceptable. If I'm going to have tints, I would prefer to have them done correctly. Hopefully I can get it redone.. read more

I've brought a few vehicles to LA tint and had a not so great result with my first vehicle, I had to return twice as there were streaks and scratches in the tint after 1 week but then again not everything is perfect. I gave them my returned business because of the ease Amy provided to get it fixed and done right. The 2nd vehicle I brought in was more recent around October 2019, a different guy did this and it came out perfect no complaints at all by far the best application for window tent I've ever seen. His work is 5 out of 5 stars! Unfortunately when I just brought my 3rd vehicle in the guy who did a poor job was there and it came out bad. It was bubbly and streaked and he clamied that they would come out... 2 weeks later they are now worse and my front window is peeling off at the top when rolling down. I've also notice little scratches on all of the window film. I don't want to go back as last time I went back the guy commented it will come out on it's own seems lazy and unwilling to fix issues. I'm taking my business elsewhere, 2 out of 4 experiences were bad. read more

When I entered the reception area, I was greeted with a smile and asked if I had questions about any of the options. I had already decided on Virginia legal (50% front/30% rear) FormulaOne Pinnacle series tint for my four-door sedan. The receptionist was very knowledgeable, but didn't attempt to sell me things I didn't need. Once I handed over my keys, I waited in the comfortable waiting room...they even had iPhone and Android chargers right next to the chairs! Around 30 minutes later, I went to the desk to pay and no surprise charges! The price I was quoted over the phone was the price I paid. Then, they took the time to explain the curing process, how to clean the windows to avoid damaging the tint, and what to do if I experienced any issues. After only 45 minutes, I was on my way. Would give this place 0 stars if I could. DO NOT GO HERE. WASTE OF MONEY, TIME, AND BREATH. We paid over $600 for the most god awful vinyl wrapping job. When it stared to peel off (2 WEEKS LATER) we asked them to fix it as it was covered by their so called "warranty". All they did was put another strip of vinyl on top and didn't even remove the old one. Not to mention, on the day we went to pick our car up, mind you, A CAR THAT WAS LESS THAN TWO WEEKS OLD, they told my husband to remove the car from the garage himself since it was raining outside. It's a manual sports car and they parked it incorrectly, causing my husband to simply start the car and it flew forward, causing the car to crash into the front of the garage. And then you know what they did? Called their insurance and BLAMED US! Like I said, awful customer service, terrible vinyl experience, and oh, they ruined my brand new car. This is the kind of place where you take you 1999 toyota to get tinted. The serice from some of the guys there is the worst and they look down on you. I had to take my car back on a Saturday because they had scratched the film while installing it and i was not the only one with the same issue, in the 5 minutes i was there two other guys had the same issue. I had to reschedule for the reinstallation. The guy there was a dick about it but he did changed the film one more time. Well, he scratched it again, i do not know why and did not want to replace it again. He came up with a million excuses until i was like fuck it and left. I agree with Patrick S. regarding customer service at the place. I don't know who Chris or Tim is but I was satisfied with the job. Tint places, like mechanics, can be a bit shaddy and you're not sure if you're gonna get ripped off. Same with this place, but I was satisfied enough with the job that I referred them to a friend. While the guy I dealt with (he had a beard) wasn't warm and fuzzy, he did do a good job on the tint. Was the tint job magnificent? No. A month later I can see some teeny teeny tiny bubbles here and there, but nothing to be concerned about. I understand it's an aftermarket tint, there is lint everywhere in the air, the tint is not applied in a clean room, etc. I kinda expected these imperfections from an aftermarket tint but it still looks good To notice the imperfections you would have to look closely at my windows and know what to look for. My one tip to future customers, clean your windows thoroughly. It helps. Use a lint free cloth, razor blades, quality cleaner and clean your windows. Yes I know that is what you are paying them for but by doing so allows them to spend more time doing the tint than prepping the windows. Time is money. Have them concentrate on tinting the car and not cleaning the car. It helps you in the long run. Took about an hour to do my minivan. Don't expect super friendly customer service like you get at a chik-fil-a. I don't want them to be super customer friendly I just want them to do a good job tinting my windows properly which I think they did. read more
