A small and friendly bar which also doubles up at lunchtimes and on Friday and Saturday evenings as an informal restaurant, serving tapas, substantial salads, meat and fish dishes. It's a place to order several dishes and share, with items such as mixed plates of cheese and patés designed for this. A decent meal for two comes to about EUR15-25 a head, depending on your choices.
Staff are very friendly and helpful, and service is reasonably efficient, even though they are often busy (once with a family party of 20!). There is a small number of outside tables in the small square outside, and they also sell a small number of craft food products including, rather surprisingly, several types of Scottish-made shortbread.
As with all restaurants here, they seem very child-friendly we've watched several large family parties dine, with three or four generations present! read more
