Snacks lined up on thr bar (lots of pork)

I really enjoyed experiencing the culture in Sitges - the pinxots! It was a little overwhelming, but fun to try something new. You "pinch" the little comestibles, and then they count the toothpicks when you're done. The sangria was good, but it was better at other places we tried a later. The men behind the bar were very friendly, as well as the patrons. All in all, we found the different snacks to be a little salty, but it was fun to try this eating adventure.

The tapas place where the local eat and drink. Broad selection of the best tasting tapas ever and the price is cheap too. No matter how big the price is only 1.50 euros per tapa. Amazing selection of both hot and cold tapas and they keep 'em coming! Must try when in Sitges/ Barcelona

As an American I wasn't familiar with "pintxo". I foolishly thought everything was tapas. Last year some local friends took me here. It's an awesome place but can get crowded, only in the main part of the restaurant but there is an adjoining room with more tables. Pinxtos are foods that you pinch together with your fingers. You start by going up to the counter and filling your plate of the mass variety. Every pintxos contains a toothpick so when you are ready to pay they count the toothpicks on your plate. There is a cold section of foods and warm section. If you speak Spanish you can ask the busy person behind the counter what the item is but I don't and I prefer being adventurous and tasting new things. Last night I gave up a rare table to family and sat at the counter enjoying my sangria and smorgasbord of pintxos. 11 toothpicks 2 sangria €23. Great deal. Eating here is like eating Hors d'oeuvres at a cocktail party. It does get crowded.

Not impressed. First bad meal in spain...didn't think this was possible. To make matters worst, waitress with a bad attitude.

With reservations a must, six of us finally got to try La Picara. There are a variety of tapas, ponchos and raciones on their menu. We tried a lot of them, and everything was delicious with the possible exception of Sepia a la Plancha, grilled squid which was too tough and chewy. Do NOT neglect to see their "Suggeriments fora de Carta" on a chalkboard. Most every off-the-chart suggestion we tried was exceptional, with my favorite actually being Tomaquets de Temporada amp Burratina í old D'Alfabrega. This was probably the best Burrata and Tomatoes serving I've ever tasted. It must be their spiced basil oil. The other standout special was a delicious Pintxo de Foie a la Plantxa, luxurious grilled foie gras skewer. A couple of drag queens came in promoting their show. They were a hoot at our table. Paola, the owner, was so kind and gracious. Service was fantastic. La Picara is definitely a must try during your time in Sitges!

We had traveled from the US to finalize all details on a prior trip and everything seemed squared away. The day of the dinner came and the actual dinner was converted to a "standing happy hour" without our consent. The staff hid the chairs in back of the tables against the wall so all guest didn't have access to it. I had a pregnant guest part of my bridal party that obtained a chair and they told her she could not sit and had to stand. The service was atrocious and as the couple we were embarrassed for this treatment because the dinner was to show our appreciation to our guest . Also it came with a hefty price tag. We complained and all they did was bring the chairs to the front of the tables and offered an extra drink at the end. It was awful and a waste of money. The staff needs to learn to be more understanding and solution driven. DO NOT DINE HERE. Pretty views but not worth the hassle.
